I was reading something today and I saw the term Author goggles. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what exactly that means? What are Author Goggles?

Allie-Marie Pickens is a 23 year old woman, she works part time at a local bookstore and studies business at University. She reads and reviews books with her 2 close friends and writes a blog on her findings. She volunteers at an animal shelter every other week walking dogs, cleaning out stalls and fostering animals. She rescued her ragdoll cat from the shelter when he was abandoned with his mother and littermates.

Allie-Marie lives with her father whose work takes him out of town, sometimes for weeks at a time. Her mother died 4 years ago from a rare blood disorder.

Allie-Marie looks like her late mother, what with her thick waves of auburn hair, her pale complexion and light blue eyes.

She has self esteem issues and is afraid to put herself out there for fear of getting hurt by men. She cant handle her liquor and gets light headed after two drinks.

Do you think my character is too perfect?

So I'm writing a story and I'm having trouble with a man's name. He is going to be the love interest of my main character, whose name is Allie-Marie.

My character has dark brown loose curls that come to just above his brow and bob around his eyes when he walks, he has a handsome mouth and deep ocean blue eyes and a tan/olive complexion.

His usual attire is jeans that hang from his hips and button down shirts.

He loves history and takes every oportunity to learn more about past battles and wars.

He is a volunteer fire fighter.

I'm after names that arent over used. I am loking for uncommon not unusual.

I thought maybe Curtis or Porter but they just arent jumping out at me as him.

Could you lovely people please help me out by suggesting some names that you think may go well with the discription of my character.

I was working with a microsoft word 2010 document. I was writing away, after I'd finished my session of writing I must have accidentally deleted approx 1200 words and then saved without realising my mistake.

Is there any way to recover these with an autosaved file somewhere? Or has the fact that I've saved it afterwards made that impossible for me?

I had unprotected sex during my fertile time, I took 4 HPTs all negative, but I may have been too early for the hormone to be strong enough.

I was over a week late for my period and then yesterday I got what I thought was my period. It's been very light and isnt the right colour, it's too light to be period blood.

It's my second day now and usually I'm really really heavy on the second day to the point I mess my clothes and bed sheets. I am so light I'm only wearing a panty shield.

I googled implantation bleeding and it said if I was going to get it, it would be in the 5th week after the first day of my cycle. This is the 5th week.

Whats your opinion of the situation? Do you think I'm on my period or experiencing implantation bleeding?

I am trying to find unique names. I really like old names, but names that arent used often.

Emse or Isla or even Esme-Isla?

Opinions on the name choices and any suggestions following the theme of old but not over used.

So I'm after names that are both unique but not crazy weird. Something that you dont hear often but think thats nice, not thats crazy. For example I would never name my child Apple, but I quite like the name Willow for a girl.

I'm after both boy and girl names. I'm possibly pregnant, obviously dont know generd and already have 2 sons.

I have very tender breasts and for the past few days food hasnt really appealed to me.

I've taken 2 digital tests but both came up negative, possibly too early to tell, and also I didnt do them first thing in the morning.

What do you think my chances are of being pregnant?

I am trying to gather as much research as possible on Faeries (fae, fairies, fee - Which ever way you want to say it).

Do they have any traditions they uphold?

What do they eat? Are they vegans?

Are they magical? Do they have wings?

Can they inter species breed?

If anyone could help me answer, one or all of these questions that would be muchly appreciated.

I was wondering if anyone knew of some good writing programs for PC. I've downloaded the trial Scrivener program, but to be honest I'm not finding it very straight forward, I've gone through about 1/3 of the tutorial and for me it just seems too complicated and not very user friendly.

My son was diagnosed in 2010. He has been battling this disease for nearly 3 years. He is only 5 years old.

He has an Anaplastic Ependymoma stage 3 (the worst of this specific cancer) - It is a brain tumor.

He was in remission for nearly 12 months to the day after 6 months of chemo, 33 sessions of radiation and 3 brain surgeries.

He relapsed with a secondary tumor at the base of his spine. He then went on to have spinal surgery to resect the tumor and another 30 sessions of cranialspinal radiation.

On the follow up MRI post radiation we discovered a 7mm third tumor on his T12 (nearly the middle of his spine.)

We have exhausted all researched options available to us. My son has another MRI in 3 weeks to see the growth rate of the tumor. We will start experimental treatment shortly after getting the results of the MRI.

I was wondering if anyopne knew the long term survival rates of relapsed Anaplastic Ependymoma stage 3.

We've been told we're at the point now where we wont cure my son, but I really just want to know if there are people out there who have beat this awful disease. My child if 5 years ol. He hasnt lived, hasnt experienced life. He talks about growing up nad being a builder and having babies of his own and it just kills me to think that it's all not going to happen.

Of all the research I've done I cant find much on long term survival rates.

My son was originally given 30% when he was first diagnosed. The odds werent in his favour from the start.

I just finished reading The Godess Test Books 1, 1.5 and 2 by Aimee Carter. I was wondering when 2.5 and 3 were coming out. Does anyone know?

I have a Husky x Bull Mastiff. She is like a daughter to me. She's my everything, so I want to feed her good wholesome food. She is 3.5 months old. She has a very sensitive tummy and cannot eat a lot of foods.

When I bought her she was on Innova large breed puppy which is a 4 star dog food according to http://www.dogfoodadvisor.com/

I'm about to run out of the Innova and my local pet stores/warehouses don't stock it. They also claim that they had never even heard of it before, and that I should never have paid the $175 I paid for it, for any dog food.

They had available some other brands such as Science Diet, Eukanuba, Iams etc.

I went for the Holistic Select Large and Giant breed Puppy. It was $130. Holistic Select is also a 4 star dog food.

They first tried selling me the Science Diet but I'd previously googled it and it's only a 2.5 star dog food. They claimed that most vets reccommend Science Diet as the best food to feed your dog.

Why would a vet be recommending a 2.5 star dog food? Why not reccommend the best food with the best produce in it. It just baffles me to think that they aren't really wanting whats best for our pets.

What do you feed your dog and why?
