Help with PH calculation - baby steps please?
50ml of water
50ml of 1M acetic acid with a Ka of 1.75X10-5
(so that = 0.5 molar solution in total right?)
and 1ml casein
Ka = [H]X[A]/[HA] = 1.75 X 10-5
pH= PKa+ log[A]/[HA]
PKa= -log(Ka) = 4.75
What is [H] [A] and the resulting ph?
PLEASE talk me through in baby steps explaining how to get the pH
