  • How to change ip address?

    I just asked a similar question 20 min ago but I think I need to add some more details. Ok, I changed my ip address earlier today. I usually connect to the internet through a wireless router but when I changed the ip I had the internet hooked up directly to my computer.

    When I did a "what is my ip check" It showed a different ip, cool. Now, I hooked my wireless router back up, di a ip check and the OLD ip address shows up! Not cool.

    I did all the ipconfig release/renew stuff and it's still the same on the wireless router. I need the new ip to show up when i connect through the router. How do I get it to show up when I connect throught the router? Thanks

  • How do I change ip address on router?

    When I hook up the internet through my wireless router it shows one ip address, and then when i hookup the internet directly to my computer it shows another.

    The same ip address that shows up on the direct connection is the one i want to show up on the router. How do I do this?
