apparently the answer is -1, but i dont get how i would get that answer
what i did is:
x(x+1)(x+2)=(x+1)
[x(x+1)(x+2)/(x+1)]=(x+1)/(x+1)
x(x+2)=1
x^2+2x=1
x^2+2x-1=0
then i cant get how i would get -1
im probably doing it wrong, so any help?

A boat travels three times as fast when it is empty as when it is full. If it travels 20 km north with cargo, spends 2 hours unloading and returns to the original port empty, taking 8 hours to complete the entire trip, what is the speed of the barge when empty.
the book says the answer is, less than 15kph but not less than 10kph
How would i get about getting this answer???
