JAVA 2D and 3D graphics help?
I have to come up with a project for my senior thesis (I have this whole school year to work on it) and I have this idea to write a program, using JAVA (it's the only programming language I know) and use 2D or 3D graphics, that will take people through the process of ordering cakes at a bakery and show a basic (or as elaborate as I can get it to be) idea of the cake itself.
I imagine it would go through a list of options, fillings, colors, size, shape, quantity and on the side it would be drawing the cake out.
Is this possible in JAVA?
Any book or website recommendations?
I have knowledge on GUIs and have taken 3 years (courses) of JAVA, but my Graphics knowledge isn't very extensive.
Any ideas or advice would be much appreciated (and rewarded!).
2 AnswersProgramming & Design1 decade agoCan anyone help me come up with an idea for a Senior Thesis project?
So my school has a class that all seniors are required to take and it is called Senior Thesis. Essentially, we have to come up with a project/topic, preferably something no one has done before and research it.
Example:
This guy years ago researched a specific type of eye surgery and he came up with a way to make the procedure more successful.
I'm trying to do something like that but with food. My passion is baking and I want to go on to a culinary school after high school.
Does anyone know what sort of project I could come up with?
I feel like I'm focusing too much on the obvious and am missing some aspect of the food world that I could work on.
Remember, the more specific, the better.

5 AnswersInsurance & Registration1 decade agoBecoming a pastry chef not what I expected?
Ok so i've been looking into becoming a pastry chef, I have awesome grades and I will be graduating within two years but I do not have the resources (money-wise) to attend a college or a university. The school I attend (which happens to be the number one school in America, TAG Magnet) paves a way to obtain scholarships.
I was looking through other Q&A and I realized people say going into a Culinary Institute or School right out of high school isn't the best way to go.
Why is that?
Should I take the scholarships if I get them to go to my dream school (Culinary Institute of America)?
Should I even persue the scholarships or should I go into a community college right out of high school?
Please feel free to give me any advice.

The results of a survey of a population of 50,000 shows that candidate A got an average of 58% votes. Candidate B got an average of 30% votes, and the remaining votes went to candidate C. Further, it was noted that the actual percent of votes in favor of candidate C can vary 2% above or below the population. Write and solve an equation to find the maximum and minimum of votes in favor of candidate C.
Define a variable and write an inequality for the problem. Then solve.
