Can my doctor get in trouble? I went on with a sore throat and pain in my back

I went in he checked my throat said looks like an infection also had a fever.I said okay please prescribe me Clindamycin since I'm allergic to everything else. He DID NOT give me a strep test. Which usually every other doctor I've been to does when I come in with a sore throat. He also didn't take xrays of my back. Anyways that night I went home I took Clindamycin 4 times that day and he gave me Aleve my fever stayed high until the next day. My throat got worse it was so swollen. My voice changed I was in pain . I called the doctor he didn't call back til hrs later. I ended up emailing my obgyn and sent a pic of my throat he said Melissa go to the e.r because it's late and u need to get the swelling down. At the er they asked if I had a strep test I said no. They tested me and sure enough I had strep. Also they took xrays and I have a lumbar sprain . They had to give me steroids. Iv. And anti inflammatory also antibiotics. Still nothing it's been a week. Of course I changed my doctor and was seen 3 days after my hospital visit. I'm better now but because he didn't feel like doing a strep test I could have swelled up and choked. Any input would be great. No negativity please and if ur under 18 don't comment
