  • Car not starting--- 1988 Pontiac Fiero 2.8L 3spd auto.?

Here is my story, sorry it's long.

So I was driving and my Fiero died on me. It had 75k actual miles on it. I just bought it from someone on craigslist. I was going about 60 down a hill and decided to let go of the gas. When I pressed the gas again, I realized the car was off, so I pulled over and tried to start it. The needles were all on high, so I don't know if it overheated but I don't think so. It didn't overheat at all before that. It cranked but it didn't fire. I didn't feel any weird jerking; the engine just shut off. I left it on the side of the road for a day and came back to find coolant on the floor. I don't know if it leaked it after it died or if someone did that to it to ruin my car but it definitely didn't leak before. I towed it back to my hose and it leaked a little more coolant, so maybe a hose broke? But the radiator is still full of coolant. Anyways, I've replaced the distributor and rotary arms, nothing changed. It sounds like it wants to start but it doesn't. I think it might be an electrical problem but I don't know. The spark plugs don't look too bad and neither do the wires. I see the timing belt and it looks good. The timing belt and the alternator belt both spin. I checked the spark plugs and they're getting spark. I don't know if I missed anything? Everything in the car is getting power. When I try to start it, it smells like gas, so I don't think it's the fuel pump?

Does anyone have any suggestions at all? Anything to check, anything it might be? I really like the car and it ran great before it died, apart from some weird vibrations. (NO KNOCKING)

  • Painting car: sanding?

I am painting my car. The paint is faded all over. I recently got in an accident, so there is a fender and a hood which are different colors.

Since I'm painting it all black, (original colors are maroon and grey) would I have to sand the faded parts bare? If not, what about the newer parts since the accident? What happens if I don't sands it and just start painting?

  • In behavioral health center for cutting?

My girlfriend was always a cutter. She had an abusive parent and bad experiences in the past. Ever since I started out dating her, she told me I made her happy. She stopped cutting for a while. She then started cutting again saying she missed it. I made her give me her razor. I think she stopped cutting after that, I regularly inspected her body.

On our 6 month anniversary, I went to her house where we exchanged gifts. Her parents weren't home. We were filing around in her room and her parents came in on us with our shirts off. After that, I want allowed to see her for a week, and I wasn't allowed at her house.

She then started getting depressed. I kept trying to tell her that her parents won't be mad forever, and I tried to comfort her. She started cutting again after I couldn't see her for our 7 month anniversary. Before I could react, her mother took her to the hospital and plans on putting her in a behavioral health center.

My girlfriend is scheduled to move there as soon as a room opens up. It's making me depressed and feeling useless as a boyfriend. It really was my responsibility to make her feel better, but I couldn't since I was grounded from her.

I'm not allowed to visit her in the hospital because I'm 18 and she's 17. I know I can visit her at the behavioral health center during visiting hours as long as it doesn't interfere with working schedules.

Does anyone have any advice, as to when she'll get out, what I should do... Ect? I love her and I don't want to lose her.
