What do you think of the One Child policy in China?
PLEASE DON'T CLICK THE LINK IF YOU THINK THE ISSUE OF FORCED ABORTION IN CHINA WILL DISTRESS YOU.
I am personally distressed by this, and I am not even totally anti-abortion in certain circumstances, but this is just atrocious and an absolute violation of all human rights. I chose to read the article to give myself more awareness because I didn't realise this was going on.
I was already not buying anything Made in China due to the issues of poisoning in food, etc, and also I like to support locally owned and manufactured brands to support our own economy, but now....
Well, let's just say I want to learn how to spread the word a bit more......

Is there anything else we can do to stop this happening. I imagine the US has a bit more clout than we do in Australia. We need to help these poor women!!

6 AnswersOther - Pregnancy & Parenting1 decade agoAnyone heard of Eczema with no Rash in Toddler?
We are trying to work out what the problem is with our 3 1/2 year old daughter. She has had no rash but regularly complains of being "itchy" and strips of her cloths because she finds them irritating.
Some history: About 3 weeks ago she was diagnosed with a nasty ear infection and was on antibiotics for the first time in her life. She started complaining sometimes of being itchy only after this, but she refused the antibiotics most the time. We didn't get her to start taking them properly until two weeks ago - she refused them until then (and we ended up having to force her because she was getting worse). We took her for a check up last week and also mentioned the itchiness, and the doctor said it was eczema. There is NO rash, nothing, just the itch. Occasionally she had what looked like a heat rash but it went down once her fever went down.
She has been off the antibiotics for about 5 days now, but tonight, she was screaming that she was "itchy", and couldn't stand to be touched in certain areas (legs, back, arms). The way she was carrying on was like she was in real pain, not just itchy.
She goes to daycare 2 days a week, and it seems to be worse at the end of a daycare day. But daycare has not had any issues with the "itchy". We are about to get a list of foods, full recipes, etc from daycare to try an eliminate these as a cause of the pain. We have not changed washing powders in years, and this is not an every day occurrence.
Given the doctor indicated it was eczema, I just really wanted to know if anyone out there has experienced eczema in a toddler without any rash? We are making notes and keeping records to see if it is also an allergy or intolerance, but we know if we go to the doctor now, we will be sent away and told again it is eczema, so we want to go armed with the right questions, and to do that, I would really like some feedback on anyone who has had some experience with this one..... Thanks!!
