MSI z87 gaming

32gb g.skill ripjaw 1866mhz

1tb Seagate sdd/hdd hybrid Drive

Xfx 7950 3gb ddr5 384-bit 925mhz core clock

Every game I've played, I've been able to do so on highest settings. I use a 1080p 40" LED TV as my monitor. In currently playing far cry 4, before that I played dying light and metro redux. All of them ran beautifully. I guess I just figured since it is the oldest component it time to upgrade. I've been looking at getting either an r9 290x or gtx 970. With my current setup and not wanting to crossfire or sli, and only running one monitor/screen, would I really benefit at all from upgrading?

As it states i have an 02 grand am gt with the 3.4L V6 engine. am wondering if anyone has a rough estimate at what the cost could be to have the water pump replaced. Thanks.

Am a beginner as far as actually putting together my own pc. I have installed ram and a PSU, but never done a full build of my own. I know it's cheaper to build my own pc then to buy from big box store but and i've done a lot of searching but not really sure where to start. My problem is i know i can build one for around $1000, but i'm only starting with around $400-$500 and can't really find any help on where to start from that point.

What i'm wanting is to start with the basics such as a tower, motherboard, cpu, ram, and psu. not really sure about sizes as far as the tower goes, i always just bought from store, my last pc was this one http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTool... and it worked for what i needed. so anything that size.

Could someone help me out with what i'm looking for or perhaps where to start to find compatible parts.

prefer an i5 intel cpu

at least 8gb ram to start

around 700w psu

prefer at least 7200rpm HDD does not need SSD at least 500gb

and a mobo with at least 2 pci x16 slots

any help greatly appreciated. remember my limit is $500 to start, so looking only for the components listed right now, others such as dvd drive and video card will be purchased at later date. Thanks for the help.

I purchased a desktop pc from best buy a little over a year ago...a Gateway DX4860-UB33P. I also had a 500W PSU installed and also installed an ATI 6770 gpu. I'm looking to upgrade my cpu if possible but never was able to understand all the different types when it came to sockets and what not. Could someone lend a hand and let me know what or IF I am able to upgrade the processor and if so, a list of compatible or an idea of where to find compatible upgrades. Thx

I love old style rpg's and turn based strategy games, for example: shining force 1 & 2 on genesis. also loved final fantasy tactics, betrayal at krondor, mechcommander 1 & 2, silent storm, jeanne d'arc on psp, valkyria chronicles 1 & 2....catch my drift. I didn't care for the kings bounty games or might and magic heroes. i think my list of games is pretty specific as to what i'm looking for.....i'm wanting to know if you to like these types of games and if so are there any not on my list you'd recommend.

I wanna purchase a graphics card to be able to play games but see it only has a 300W power supply. I saw that the PNY GT 545 nvidia gfx card has minimum requirement of 300W, would this work ok? i don't wanna play like battlefield 3 or anything, maybe just wow on mid range settings, and perhaps SWTOR in december. I don't have a lot of $ to fork out for new psu and a gfx card so any suggestions that would work with 300W psu prefferably nvidia, unless theres a better ati thats the same price as the gt545. ($150)

Hello, im looking to book a trip to las vegas, and was looking through allegiant airs website. Their deals seem pretty good, but I have a question regarding room selection. It seems you can only choose whatever they have selected there, is there a way to change the room type, I am wanting to get the tower luxury suite at luxor but cant choose that option, only the basic room...any way to choose?

I want to get peoples opinions regarding how they feel about xbox vs ps3. Post any arguements for or against each or simply which you prefer ans/or why you prefer them. I myself prefer xbox, and this was a hard decision for me as I was a long time fan of ps brand. So tell me, what do you think?

Just moved to portland/vancouver area recently and am looking for some MUST eat places in the area. cuisine type doesn't matter too much i'm open to just about everything. anything in and around portland/vancouver area ok just lookin for good places, recently ate at Blueplate Lunch Counter, and it was excellent, so any place like that, small local dive or diner....am a huge fan of Triple D, kudos if you know what im referring to.

I have an 02 grand am and i think the fog light relay may be out as i have replaced the bulbs, and all fuses are ok, the switch doesn't light up or click when i flip the switch. I tried pulling out the relay but it is in there pretty good, is there a specific way to pull it out so as to not damage the fuse panel?

My car just started acting up today. It started up fine and ran as usual, but once it warmed up it started acting up. I would give it gas to accelerate and it sped up real slow, and wouldn't shift, I then floored it and it finally jumped up in rpms and shifted after I pumped the gas pedal. Then on the highway it wouldn't hold the speed and then all of a sudden it would only go 30-40 mph and if I floor it, it just revs up in rpms but does not accelerate. Any ideas what wrong, and guesstimate on repair cost. Is an 02 grand am gt 3.4L GT V6.

I'm going to be moving to Vancouver, WA. in a few months, the cross streets where i'll be living are: NE 28th St, and NE 164th Ave. My question is what route/how can i get to 600 Southeast 10th Ave in downtown Portland using only public transportation. I am trying to figure out how to maybe ride a bus to where I can get on the MAX or something like that. I tried looking it up but haven't been able to find any real answers on how to get to my end location. I don't mind walking a few blocks I had planned on that anyway, Just need the route info or where a good starting point would be such as a park and ride or rideshare from the Vancouver end. As stated above, I am looking for a laptop or desktop that can run wow with settings on high and a few addons in background, and i'm on a budget. highest i can go is probably around $700 maybe a little more. I know it can be done I just lack the time due to work to search for one. post any links on this question or send them to my email. would prefer laptop but desktop just as good if possible would like desktop to be sli capable even if it only has 1 or no gpu's included due to price restriction. laptop must have gpu included, no onboard you guys know onboard sucks.

a while back there was a power surge and my protector failed to shut down and ever since then, whenever i am playing a video game about every 5 minutes or so the computer pauses for like 2-3 seconds, then resumes, it doesn't seem to happen during regular use such as right now, only when playing games (WoW) any suggestions?

just leveled my shaman to 80 as pure elemental and recently switched to enhancement to try it out. i never played enhancement before and was curious as to *how to play one. not necessarily talents i can look that much up myself, what im' not seeing is like what abilities you use in what order and so forth like stormstrike then earthshock and so on....which combinations of attacks you use to maximize your dps. if you wanna flame, go elsewhere, im just lookin for some guidance...thanks

am currently using a 3 y.o. computer that i bought from a friend who recently bought a new one. am looking to upgrade the 7800GT nvidia video card that is currently installed with a pair of SLI cards that aren't too expensive lookin to spend around $100 for each card found a few for that price but not too sure what's good and what's bad. Any links that you all could provide me with to some good cards or ones that you would recommend for this budget would be appreciated. Thanks

it's that time of year again and i'm gonna be firing up the 'Q' again, was curious what sorts of recipes some of you use when you make your hamburger patties. i personally just like mincing up onion and mixing in some worsheshire (spelling?) sauce, but have been looking for other combinations, i hear of people putting cheese "IN" the burger..anybody have any input on that, or other types of good burger recipes?
