I love computers. I love to help. I love cheese. I love tennis. I love to paint. That pretty much raps it up for me. Oh I am a programmer. In my former life, I was a Network Admin. And in my former life before this former life, I was a Computer Repair Guy. And in my other former life, before the other former life, I drew and painted for cheeseburgers. :-) Hopefully in my future life, I can play tennis more and eat more cheese.
Where can I find a place to make prints of my drawings?
I was just curious. I live here in Southern California, but I have no clue what to even look for. Does Staples or Kinkos do this? Or is this done by a special printer or company?
I don't keep any of my drawings because I usually give them away as presents and stuff and now I am sad I don't have any of my work. I wanted to start printing a copy for myself and give the original away so I can keep a track of my progress in my drawings.
Lastly, typically how much does it cost to print 11in X 15in drawings and 18in X 24in? That is usually the sizes of paper I print on.
Thanks all in advance.
4 AnswersDrawing & Illustration1 decade agoAre my drawings any good? Part 2?
OK, about 2 months ago I posted a question and got some nice feedback about my drawings, but due to the limited people that can view myspace.com, I am reposting this with my work at myartspace.com....... Here is the URL:
http://www.myartspace.com/viewer/gallery/?subscrib...
Please comment on this, good or bad. Any feedback is always good feedback. I've been drawing more so there are 2 or 3 new drawings since 2 months ago.
I am an amateur artist and do this mostly as a hobby. I needed to get away from day to day life, so I started drawing again. It's been a good stress reliever. My friends have told me to pursue this more, but right now, I don't have all the confidence to do it. Probably never will.
Anyhow, thanks for all your feedback and suggestions.
17 AnswersDrawing & Illustration1 decade agoXFX 8600GTS or evga 7600GTKO in SLI?
I have 2 evga 7600GTKOs configured right now in SLI. And I actually won a XFX 8600GTS in nvidia's website. It is their 365 days of winning contest. So my question is, should I stick with my current config or ixnay the 7600's and use the 8600. If I use the 8600 I will not purchase a second one to SLI it.
4 AnswersAdd-ons1 decade agoAre my drawings any good?
If you have a myspace account, can you check out my page and look at my pictures... http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=us... I've only shown my friends and all of them say that is nice but I don't know if they are just saying that to make me feel good. So I am asking people that don't know me to see if my drawings are any good. Also if you don't have a myspace account, the primary pic is a drawing I made of Charlie Chaplin, and you will be able to see that even if you do not log in. Thanks much in advance.
5 AnswersDrawing & Illustration1 decade agoWindows XP access denied error?
OK I've been doing this for a while now, and this is the first I've come across this problem. I recently copied all of my files into an external and reformatted my whole drive and reinstalled XP. I then copy all my files from my external back into my internal drive. Now I am getting an access denied error, which I have gotten before. So I have taken ownership of the folders and set it to inherit. If I right click on the files, it says I have full control and I am the owner. So why am I still getting an access denied error? Any help is greatly appreciated.
4 AnswersOther - Computers1 decade agoProgramming School Major?
I'm a novice programmer, and know how to code here and there, mostly html and a strange program for UNIX that reminds me of COBOL. Anyhow, I've been at this industry for almost 4 years, and in the Computer Industry for almost 7 years but I don't have a degree. I am finally deciding to go back to school and since I have the experience in the computer industry, I would like to further that with an actual degree, but I have no clue what I would even inquire about. So any suggestions is very greatly appreciated.
2 AnswersProgramming & Design1 decade agoFaster RAM or faster Hard Drive?
My laptop supports PC2-5300 RAM but it only came with PC2-4200 RAM. And also my laptop came with 100GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive and I know Hitachi and Seagate came out with 7200RPM SATA Hard Drives but maximum size is 100GB. So my question is should I get the faster RAM or the faster Hard Drive. My budget is to only get either or for the time being. I currently have 1GB of RAM. So if I do upgrade to the faster RAM, I will max out my laptop with the 2 Gigs. So any suggestions is greatly appreciated.
