  • When you guys ask questions, do you realize?

So you have a lot of people on here that have PhDs and are even considered the top in their field. I know a lot of you ask homework questions and could care less, but do you realize that when choose as best, answers that; clearly don't understand what you are asking, or clearly don't understand the subject matter, or are merely repeating what someone more qualified has already said

that you drive away the more qualified people on here and lower the overall quality of answers you get?

    Do you care?

I've noticed some of our best answerers have just slowly migrated away as they lose patience. I don't think they care if they get best answer, but when there are no other answers that are even good and they don't get chosen, why bother to keep answering?

  • Should I be concerned over my wife not introducing me?

So a guy asks my wife to a party right in front of me (ignoring my presence entirely), he knows my wife but didn't know she was married. My wife DOES ask him if she can bring her husband, (according to her, I couldn't hear I was about 8 feet away) and she accepts his business card. I asked her why she didn't just introduce me to him to give him the message and she said she didn't remember his name (although it was clearly on the business card).

Should this worry me? We are newlweds.

  • Why do people assume their experience applies to everyone?

I have no problem with people sharing their experiences and what they believe leads to a successful marriage etc. But why do people make matter of fact statements based on their limited set of circumstances and try to apply it to everyone's situation? I'm specifically referring to things like "Well that has never bothered me so it shouldn't bother your wife" that type of thing.

    Why?

And yes I'm mostly venting, so most entertaining/informative answer gets the best answer.

  • Groomsmen not coming to rehearsal, is that a big deal?

A couple of my groomsmen aren't coming to the rehearsal, and quite frankly acted like "why should we?" almost. I thought they were better friends than that (obviously, since I asked them to be in the wedding), though they've made no indication that they aren't coming to the wedding (in fact one mentioned he was bringing a date). The wedding is out of town, but still, this kind of makes me mad. Am I making too much of this?
