  • I want to install the master hard drive from my old computer into my new computer as a slave drive. How to?

The graphics card died on my old computer and since I was going to get a new one anyway I have got a new one coming. I want to take the hard drive from my old computer and install it as a slave drive on my new computer. I want to preserve the data that is on the hard drive. The problem is that the old one is set up as the master and has Win XP Home installed. The new one will have XP Media. I can't any video signal to the monitor so I can't make any adjusments to settings. If I just install the old hard drive as a slave drive in the new computer, will I run into problems? I do not want to reformat the old drive because I need to preserve my data.

  • Labrador/Catahoula mix temperment and health question?

I recently adopted a dog that I thought to be a Lab/Blue Heeler mix, but after some internet research I think is a Lab/Catahoula mix. He is roughly a year old, and right now acts just like a labrador. I would like to know what people who own or have owned such a mix have experienced as their dog has grown. Also what kind of health problems have you experienced. He has already been diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia in his right hip, and they found buck shot in his left thigh when the x-rayed him. He has been nothing but a gentle and warm dog who loves to meet new people and other dogs and I want to keep him that way.

  • Strange separation anxiety problem in my new rescue dog.?

I recently adopted a small lab mix from a local rescue organization. He seems well adjusted and is impeccably housetrained. He does however have a touch of separation anxiety, which is causing an unexpected problem. My current schedule is that I wake up at 5:30, have a cup of coffee and take the dog for 45 minute walk. We then watch the morning news until about 7:15 when I get ready for work. I typically leave about 7:45-8:00. He will whine and bark a little, at the door when I leave but settles down quickly and has been getting better about it steadily (he didn't even bark this morning). Before I got him I typically would go home for lunch, which I thought he would find comforting, but this has had the opposite effect. After I go back to work he becomes much more agitated and engages in destructive chewing, on things he knows are off limits. I tried not going home for lunch yesterday, and when I got back, no problems. The problem is I would like to be able to eat lunch at home. Help.
