What are your favorite road trip songs?
Songs to sing along to, to rock out to, to cry to.... anything!
(Hint: The Beatles are a band, not a song. Yellow Submarine is a song. :P)
12 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoWhat scenes in the 2005 Hitchhiker's Guide movie compare to the book?
What scenes are roughly equivalent? Not necessarily the most similar, just scenes that actually happen in both the movie and the book, as there is plenty that doesn't overlap. I'm trying to decide which scene to use, and since it is for school work, I'm not looking for the actual comparison.
1 AnswerMovies1 decade agoWhat should I do home alone for two weeks?
I'm going to have the whole house to myself for two full weeks. Any suggestions?
13 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoExactly how many plane crashes have there been in the U.S. this year so far?
It seems like a lot more than one would expect.
3 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoDo you think Luke Menard from American Idol looks like Orlando Bloom?
I definitely do. Except Luke Menard's face is less feminine-looking than Orlando Bloom's.
3 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoDo you know or can you come up with any synonyms that rhyme?
I know I already asked basically the same thing, and I got some rather good answers. I am still looking to lengthen my list, however. (And I am still searching through thesaurus.com and rhymefinder.com. on my own.)
Some examples of answers people have supplied me with include:
actual factual
trip slip
dance prance
radical fanatical
These are all great... but can you think of any more?
And just in case you forgot (or didn't know), synonyms are words that have nearly the same meaning.
6 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoCan you think of any synonyms that rhyme?
I need a list of 20-25, and currently only have 11, one pair of which I do not believe is school newspaper appropriate (whacked and cracked).
Some I currently have are:
whirl twirl
sooth truth
vindication exoneration
I've been using online dictionaries, thesauruses, rhyme finders, etc. but I need some help. As many as you can find would be very much appreciated.

1 AnswerPolls & Surveys1 decade agoDo you have anything interesting to tell me?
Anything at all... but keep it PG.
Answers 1 word or more are welcome!
13 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoSo... I need something to read... What do you recommend?
My favorite authors include Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, Eoin Colfer, and Jane Austen to mention a few.
That's so you can get an idea of what I read, so no need to recommend their work.
I'm most probably looking for something fiction. I have a tendency toward science fiction, but I'm open to most genres. Not a fan of "trashy romance novels" or horror books.
So... what do you think?

Mine's been okay. A little boring, but not too bad.

3 AnswersOther - Music1 decade agoWhat are your three favorite....?
female names?
It doesn't matter if they happen to generally be masculine names. Just whatever names you like for a female.
19 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoCliches in books and tv...?
When reading a book or watching tv/movies, what cliches bother you most?
They can be events, words and phrases used to describe things, or character stereotypes.
I'm personally sick of things "hitting" people "like a ton of bricks." I'm sure it was vivid imagery once, but now it seems everyone has got to use the phrase to describe a realization. Yikes.
5 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoWhat songs have months in their lyrics?
Okay, so I'm making a list of songs that correspond with months. This is what I have so far:
January-
February- “As I Lay Me Down” by Sophie B. Hawkins; “February Song” Josh Groban;
March-
April-
May-
June-
July-
August-
September- “Wake Me up When September Ends” Green Day;
October-
November- “Sleeping in” The Postal Service;
December- “Love Like Winter” AFI; “My December” Linkin Park;
Can you help me fill it in? It's okay if you want to add a song to a month that already has one listed.
12 AnswersMusic1 decade agoHow much homework is too much?
About how many hours a night do you (or did you) or children spend on homework? For each age range?
Is it too much or too little?
How much do you think is beneficial to students, and how much is detrimental?
For people in school, about how much homework do you do versus how much your teachers assign?
Details are appreciated!
