I'm having an "End of the Summer so Let's Get Drunk Before Classes Start" barbeque and I really want to make a spiked watermelon. I'm looking for recipes and opinions on spiked watermelons. Thanks!

My dad was a cop in a fairly high-crime city and says that he's "seen everything and doesn't want his girls to get hurt". I live at home and I'm in college and I'm still being treated as if i were 8 years old. My mother doesn't do anything because she is afraid to stand up to him. And I am not blaming my mother; she is intimidated (as am I) of him. You don't tell a man who can benchpress over 400 lbs. what to do! You stop and listen and do everything in your power to listen to him! My sister, meanwhile, is younger than me and is allowed more freedom than I am. It's not even that I don't disrespect them nor do I act like a child. I pay my phone bills, do my laundry, help around the house, etc. However, waitresses aren't exactly rolling in the dough and I can't afford to move out right now, PLUS I go to school full time. What can I do to help aleviate the situation?

I was offered a job in a marketing field at a restaurant that I work for part-time. I go to college where I am a history major and really have no experience in the marketing field. With my history backround, would it give me more of an advantage in trying to get a higher salary? Thank you!
