How long after being hired until health insurance coverage begins?
One company starts coverage in the next month after 60 days of employment. How common is such a policy?
7 AnswersInsurance10 years agoGetting spammed by MyCarbonClick?
I think somebody sent me a link to this website, and perhaps I put in my email. Since then, I've received a steady stream of spam. I have clicked the link at the bottom "If you would prefer to not receive future marketing messages from us, click here to unsubscribe" and the spam keeps coming. It comes from a different domain every time - the true hallmark are pure, indisputable spam.
Has anybody else had this experience?
How do you feel about commercial spammers co-opting an important green issue for their personal profit?

1 AnswerAbuse and Spam1 decade agoWhy is soy milk so expensive?
It is suggested that soy foods are expensive "Because veggie heads will pay it. Quite simple" (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/i...
But actually, soy milk has become very mainstream, yet the price doesn't come down. Soy milk costs about 2 times as much as cow's milk. Yet soy milk is made from a crop that is a commodity (and soy is used in cattle feed), while regular milk is produced by animals that are higher on the food chain and expensive to take care of.
Is soy milk highly profitable to the companies that produce it?

I hear GM advertising that Chevy's have good fuel economy, but I don't know what the fine print means. Chevy's can get over 30 mpg... if you just ignore the segment of the test performed on city streets??

It annoys me when I see this person award himself "best answers". I can't prove it, but I see a very definite pattern. Should I do something or "just get over it"?
5 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoIs it necessary to remove an aftermarket air intake to avoid hydrolock?
2001 Acura Integra has non-standard intake that takes cold air from lower in the engine compartment. One mechanic says I should re-install standard air intake ($500 job) to avoid sucking water into the intake causing hydrolock and engine damage. Others say the risk is minimal. When is risk not enough to justify the expense for a $3000 engine rebuild/replacement?

9 AnswersGreen Living1 decade agoShould I contact my old girlfriend after 35 years of no contact?
She went her way, I went mine. For the last 10 yrs, however, we have lived less than 20 miles apart. No romantic interest, just curious to compare notes on how our lives turned out.

A charge from this "merchant" appears on my credit card bill. Am I being scammed?

Is Y!Answers trying to appeal to just young people? (duh)
Man, I need an avatar that is mostly bald and has at least some wrinkles. If they want "wisdom" they need to be friendly to all ages.
