Will a CD from another country with a Windows XP program run on an US computer?
I know with DVDs, you have to be careful about country codes. I live in the USA, and am wanting to save money by buying software on ebay instead of amazon. Should I be worried?

When I was a kid, I suggested to my mother than she turn the car off to save gas when traffic was stopped on the interstate. My mom told me it would use more gas to stop and start the engine than she'd save by turning it off. The other day, a friend told me that was an urban legend, but she could not give me a source for her disbelief. Does anyone have any valid, scientific information about this?
