  • Van Tire Trouble?

I have a 2007 Nissan Quest S van that we love. Last year in October I got a flat in one of my front tires, and ever since then I have spent a lot of money on tires/wheel/balancing and aligning. After the flat, I ended up having to replace the tire and wheel.

Since then I have had to replace two wheel bearings and I replaced the same wheel again (by choice, because the hub cap wouldn't fit the universal one I bought first).

Now I have been having issues with the van once it gets up to 62-70 mph. It just rides rough and feels like the tires are almost bouncing. When I hit bumps in the road it seems to feel it longer than it should. I replaced the back two tires this weekend and re-balanced everything again and it still is happening.

Does anyone have a clue what can be going on? I have now spent 1200+ on this stuff in the last 9 months and I am tired of just throwing money at it. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

  • Brake, ABS, TCS off and SLIP indicator lights are on, what do I do?

I have a 2007 Nissan Quest 3.5 S. It has the Brake, ABS, TCS off and SLIP indicator lights on.

I have heard this could be anything from Cam/crankshaft position sensor(s), ABS speed sensor, ABS actuator, brake pedal position switch/sensor or fuses

Any ideas? The fixes range from $5 to $2000+.

  • Hello All, I could use some advice. My 2000 Nissan Altima SE's temperature gauge was reading hot today.?

Hello All, I could use some advice. My 2000 Nissan Altima SE's temperature gauge was reading hot today. It would float between regular operating and the top of the gauge. It was 29 degrees outside and no steam was coming off my engine which led me to believe it actually was not too hot. My initial thought is thermostat?

What do you all think my issue could be?

Let me know if you all need more information. Thanks in advance.

  • Car sputters when A/C is on...?

I have a 2000 Nissan Altima with 143,000 miles on it. Today I was driving on the interstate with cruise on and the air on low. All of sudden my engine started shaking and a squealing noise started. I immediately turned the air and cruise off and slowed down and got in the slow lane, and it didn't happen again. When I arrived at my destination and placed the car in park, I turned the air back on and immediately the care started shaking and the RPM;s started going down. Does anyone have an idea what this could be? It seems to happen when driving and idling.

Thanks in advance for the help!

  • What do I need for this fuel pump repair?

    2006 Nissan Sentra S

I am having a fuel pump issue and have been for about 6 months. I have had the fuel pump and repair kit replaced and it is still having long crank time to start. I took it to a body shop to have it diagnosed and they said the fuel pump needed replaced. So I took it back to the original nissan shop that did the repair they told me all Nissan's have fuel pump problems and for us not to worry about and refused to fix the car.

So now I am going to change it myself. When I had it diagnosed the shop told me that they isolated the fuel rail and determined the Fuel pump was leaking down from 51psi to 12 psi. So do I need to get the whole assembly over again, repair kit and filter sock as well? Or can I just replace the pump by itself?

Thanks in advance for your help.

  • How to tell if my Thermostat is busted?

My vehicle is a 2000 Nissan Altima and has been having some difficulties. I always start the car early before I leave. Some days my thermostat seems to be pretty accurate, but other days when I drive it hangs around the bottom of the cold gauge. Anymore this is the more common occurence. My air and heat are both not as cold or as hot as I feel they should be. Is my thermostat bad? If so how do I fix the issue?

Thanks in advance for your help.

  • How to change blower motor and resistor in 2006 Nissan Sentra?

My wife's car has been acting up with the A/C and heat. It makes a loud noise from the dash area and only seems to work on high now. This has gradually gotten worse as it used to work on all speeds and just make the noise. I need to fix this issue as it is winter and I want her and my son to have heat.

How do I replace these parts and where are they located? I have been told it is an easy process.

Thanks in advance for your help.

  • How to remove a car's fuse box?

I have a 2006 Nissan Sentra and am trying to replace the ignition relay. The relay is located on the backside of the fuse panel. I can not seem to get the relay out for lack of space to pull it. Is there a way the fuse box can come out simply, without having to do any re-wiring? Thanks in advance for the help.

  • Car having difficulty starting?

I have a 2006 Nissan Sentra and it is having an unusually long crank time, sometimes needing multiple tries. I have replaced the battery and fuel pump and there is no check engine light. I do not know where else to turn. I have some thoughts that it could be the ignition, CPS or a bad fuel filter. But on the filter I am told of it was inside the fuel pump it should have been replaced when I had it replaced, is this true? What could my issues be?

  • 2000 Nissan Altima automatically locking?

Recently the car doors started automatically locking. There is also a clicking noise on the driver's side (as if they even when they are locked the car still wants to lock). I have searched for a fuse to pull, to make the locks manual. However there is no fuse identified to control the locks. Is there a "do it yourself" solution to this?
