  • How much time do you spend actively engaged with your 3 year old?

My 3 year old daughter plays by herself all the time lately. She likes to read, play with toys alone and does not want me to play with her, even when I offer. I'm not worried, just wondering how much time everyone else is spending playing along with their 3 year olds.

  • How long will it be until my milk dries up?

I have an 8 month old who I needed to stop breastfeeding suddenly, due to starting a new medicine for myself that is transmitted through breastmilk:( I stopped 2 days ago, and I am still really engorged, and in pain! Can anyone tell me how long it will be until my milk goes away? Please, no guilt trips, I feel guilty enough as it is.

  • How can I get my 3 year old to stop putting her hands in her mouth?

My 3 year old has such a bad habit of putting her hands in her mouth all the time. It drives me crazy because she got sick a ton this winter from all the germs, and her face is constantly dirty because her hands get messy (playgrounds etc). I'm not a germaphobe or anything, but it really is a bad habit. Any suggestions for breaking it? I've tried constantly reminding her but this does nothing. Has anyone ever tried bitter apple, the stuff you put on things you don't want animals to chew on? A neighbor recommended this but I'm a little afraid to try it. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

  • My son is 6 months old and still spits up!?

He spits up constantly, just a little at a time. It doesn't matter if I've just fed him formula, breastfed, or given solid food! Do other people's babies do this? He doesn't seem to be uncomfortable or anything, and he is gaining weight just fine. I don't think I'm overfeeding, but why does he do this and when will he stop!? The laundry is driving me crazy!

  • How do I stop swaddling my 6 month old?

My son is 6 months, and I feel like he is getting too big to swaddle. Also, it is getting hot and I'm worried he will be too hot this summer when sleeping. How do I get him used to not being swaddled though? He either can't fall asleep or wakes after only one sleep cycle (45 mins) if not swaddled!
