What is so hard about answering a question in a civil manner, and not going off on the person so bad that it might very well embarrass them into not using the sight anymore?

If someone asks what color they should paint their fence, IMHO, it is totally rude for a person to answer how bad it is to have a wooden fence, its affects on the environment, and how the paint itself is pollution. My grandma always told use if you cant say anything nice.... say nothing at all!

I have seen a lot of both of these on Y!A, and I will admit, I have given some pretty harsh answers to a few questions. But I try to preface it with, "sorry, but..." kind of response, and truly try to educate that person, or anyone that reads my response.

I also am the worlds #1 WORST speller & try not to mis-spell or typo things, and always use spell check... either on the site or cut and paste to another program to check the spelling

I was driving down the high way one day, a few hours from home. I was traveling with a friend, chatting and listening to some good music. Enjoying life...

Suddenly, there comes screaming up behind us an ambulance with full sirens and lights. Being a good citizen, I pulled over to make sure there was clear path for the EMT's and the unfortunate victim inside the vehicle.

Just as they went passed us, I noticed a small cooler, those 'playmate' type ones, with the locking cover. IT was sitting on the rear bumper!!! Just then the cooler tumbled off, onto the shoulder and the ambulance driver continued down the road - oblivious to the loss.

Well, we jumped out and grabbed up the cooler, and curiously wondering we looked inside. Can you imagine what we saw?!

It was part of a mans foot, that included the largest digit, some bone and flesh!!!! All this was packed in a frigid combination of ice and dry ice... We were shocked!!

What do you do? Who do you call?

Ok, a young adult .... of legal age..

He has had several cars, but now has a nice NEW car, all the extras, bells and whistles.

he enjoys drivng it, goes (almost) everywhere with it.... is loving life, things could not be better.

Time goes on, a few years.... still has this nice vehicle, some of the "new" has worn off, but he still takes care of the car, and is still pretty much loving life.... things are still going well, but little does he know, fate lurks around the corner.

One day, he has a fender bender, no one is harmed, the car shows no sign of being hurt.

Later, he has a near fatal accident at the same spot in the road.... charges are leveled, he goes before a judge and sentence is handed down.

What should the verdict be? (forget about insurance, this is strictly hypothetical).

There is pretty much equal fault on both drivers with maybe just a bit more fault on the side of our man with the nice new car.

The prompt to "upgrade tool bar" appears on my yahoo tool bar, and squeezes out other times. I do not want IM and do not use IM and do not want to down load IM to my computer, but is there a way to get rid of that "upgrade" offer and NOT download the IM program?

After they check in the clerk realized they qualified for the weekend special. He needed to only charge them $5 less.... SO, he went to the room to give them the refund, but could not divide the $5 equally, so the clerk gave them back each $1 and kept the other 2 for himself....

Now, here is the question.

they paid $9 each for the room, they thought so 3x9 = 27 plus the 2 bucks the clerk kept ,,,,,that makes 29 dollars...... where did the other $1 go?????
