  • Question about car lease deals?

A local Honda dealership in MA is offering a 2013 Honda Accord LX Sedan Auto for $199/mo (36 mo, with $999 down, 12k miles per year, title/tax/fees extra).

I'm new to the lease world, so I'm wondering: Don't factors such as residual value go into calculating monthly payments? And if so, does this $199/mo figure take this into account?

Their website prices this car at $23,270.

I just feel like I'm missing some hidden fee that's not in the advertising!

  • Returning to the States?

    Hey everyone,

I'm a U.S. citizen currently in Australia. In two weeks, I'll be returning home, and this is my flight path: Australia --> New Zealand ---> Los Angeles ---> Boston. Kind of a roundabout trip, but that's what it is. Anyway, does anyone know if I'll have to collect my checked baggage (for Customs) when I get into LA or I have to do this at my final destination? I don't plan on leaving LAX. The only other time I've been overseas, I arrived in Boston from Germany--and since Boston was my final destination, I obviously had to go through Customs. I'm just not sure how it works when you arrive in your home country but need to make a final domestic flight.

Hope this is clear enough to understand haha. Thanks for your help!

  • What constitutes disrespect toward the Queen's Royal Guard?

Recently, I've become fascinated with England's tradition of the guard. If I can one day travel overseas, I would love to see them in person.

But, as someone unfamiliar with English culture, I'd like to know what is and is not appropriate.

I would never think about touching one, or even trying to make one laugh. I watch youtube videos of people trying to ask them questions or make them break composure, and it makes me very upset.

These men are soldiers, not gimmicks.

But is it OK to pose for a picture near a guard?

How close can you get before it becomes 'too close?'

Is it OK to stand for a minute and watch?

If one of the guards could tell me himself, I'd ask him! But as I don't foresee this happening, I was hoping that some of you could enlighten me--preferably citizens of the UK, but I'll accept answers from everyone!

    Thanks everyone!

PS: What is the person-shaped structure behind the guards? Is that a retreat for inclement weather?

  • Is it possible to whiten my teeth if I have a cap on my tooth?

The cap [plaster? it looks very tooth like!] has been blended to match my current tooth color...would conventional methods [for instance, crest strips] work to whiten this cap as well as the rest of my teeth, or should I go to a dentist to get professional whitening? Or, is the only way to brighten the cap by having a new, whiter cap put in?

I'd appreciate any advice you may have!
