Baby boy names........?
Ok. Me and the hubby were pretty dead set on Damein. However, I wanted to pull a couple more out of the hat just to make sure we really wanted Damein. So what do you guys think?
Gage
Quinten (means 5th, and this will my hubbies 5th baby)
Colden
Blake (I'm kinda eeh on this one)
Reily (I really like it, but hubby don't care for it)
Hayden (we're both on the fence with this.)
Our last name is Sears, and I just want opinions, and possibly middle name suggestions for whatever name you like best. If it were to be Damein, middle name would be Jason, but yeah. What do you ladies think?
16 AnswersBaby Names1 decade agoBaby safe finger foods?
What are some baby safe finger foods that are safe? My daughter is almost 7 months old, and I'm way scared to give her food to feed herself. I tried those teething biscuits and she did ok on them at first, but now that she's got a bit more of a bite and teeth, she can break them, and I freak out, grab it, then she throws a fit because she wants it. I just don't know. Thank you
17 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoAnxiety about leaving my babies with a sitter/daycare.?
Ok, here's the thing. Currently I'm taking online courses (pre-reqs) for nursing. When I actually start the nursing program, I'm gonna have to leave my 1 yr old and 6 mnth old (if i get in a year from now) with a sitter or daycare 4 days a week. I am currently a SAHM and so greatfull but I just know that my daughter being 6 months old now and the new baby on the way, that after 6 months of age is when all the cool stuff happens like crawling, talking, getting teeth in, walking, all that, and I'm just feeling guilty for possibly missing that with my new baby. How did you guys deal with the guilt of leaving the babies with sitters?
5 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoDoes this look like a boy to you?
Ok. I have my "official" ultrasound on the 13th of may, buuuut I had a MRI done last week do to suspected gallstones, and I got a copy of my MRI (because I'm nosy) and got AMAZING pictures of the baby. I was looking at one of them, and it looks to me, like a penis. I have the links below. Let me know if you see what I see.
Here's the first link.
http://i572.photobucket.com/albums/ss170/CSears139...
Then I pointed it out. Right below where I pointed (the baby is upside down, so "technically" it's right above the arrow on the baby) you can see where the umbilical cord inserts, then where I pointed is what I believe to be the penis.
11 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoJealous over Dad...Not really, but a fun question.?
Ok. This is not a real serious question so I just want to say that first and foremost. Having said that....
My daughter is 6 months old. I'm a stay at home mom (thank God) so my daughter sees me 24/7. But as soon as Daddy gets home, she gets so excited she doesn't know what to do with her self! I'm not so much jealous, but just a couple of months ago, I used to be the only one that could console her and the only one she'd want. Now it's like ok mom, I'm fed, changed and taken care of. Thanks but yay! there's Dad! LoL. I spend half my day playing with her and feeding her and taking care of her, but when I walk into the room, it's like oh hey mom. But when Daddy does.. it's like.. OMG! DAD! LoL. I guess I"m just a little sad because she's growing so big so fast, and she doesn't need all that much from me anymore. Anyone else go through this?
5 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoDealing with Step-Kids?
Ok. My husband has 3 kids from a previous marriage. Ages 4, 7, and 9. I'm getting the reputation with them and their mother because there are certain things that I don't allow in my house and they don't listen worth nothing! For example, I'll catch the 2 youngest ones jumping off the couch or wrestling around and I'll tell them to stop, say if they do it again, then this or that is going to happen. It won't even be 10 minutes later, and they're back at it. I follow through with the punishments, but they just don't care. The 7 year old boy is getting in trouble at school constantly for not listening and following directions so I know it's not just at my house but their mother does NOTHING. She lets them do whatever they want until they get on HER nerves so they have no clue on what is wrong or right. My husband and I just had a baby in October, and have another one on the way, and I really don't know what to do, because I don't want my children to think they can do the same thing as far as when I say something, that's it. No if ands or buts about it, and I"m afraid that my kids growing up around them will get that notion that they can walk all over mom just like the other kids do. We only get them every other weekend, and when they come over, I'm to the point to where I just don't even want to be around them and have my daughter around them because they're so disruptive. My husband feels for me and feels the same way, but it's hard getting through to kids when they only come over every other weekend, and the rest the time their with their mom. There's no use in talking with the ex because God forbid you tell her she's doing something wrong, or her kids, and your calling her a bad mother and your on her sh*t list forever (I've already tried this) and not to mention the ex wife completely hates me and thinks I broke her home (when SHE was the one to file for divorce and me and the hubby didn't even MEET until a year after their divorce). So yeah. That's another story, but my main question is, is how do I get through to these kids because it's starting to really weigh on me and I'm starting to create a resentment towards the hubby for having kids with this psycho b. even tho I KNOW it's not his fault. I just don't know what to do. Thanks for all the positive help.

4 AnswersParenting1 decade agoIs my 4 month old sleeping too much?
I know babies have different sleep schedules, and all babies are different, but I was just wondering if any other mother out there has a baby that does the same things. Here's her sleeping patterns:
Wakes up between 7 or 8. Will take a 7 oz bottle, and go back down until 11 or 12. She'll eat a half jar of step 1 foods, and a 5 oz bottle.
After lunch, she will stay up for maybe an hour and a half. 2 hours if she's a happy baby that day. LoL. Then she'll start to get cranky and rub her eyes, but before she lays down, she'll want to just hang out with me for about 20 minutes, settle down, then I'll put her back to bed. By this time, it's about 1:30 or 2. She'll wake up about 4 to eat again. She may or may not go down again about 6, then wake up about 8 or 9, have her night time bottle then be down for the night until 7 or 8 in the morning.
On average she sleeps anywhere from 16, to 19 hrs. It does seem a little excessive to me, and I asked a friend about it, and they agreed. I just don't know if I should be worried or not. She has an appt with the dr in 2 weeks and I will be bringing it up to them, but I know she gets enough to eat, she's right on development for her age, and even some beyond, and she is an extremely happy baby. No signs of teething yet either.
Thanks.
3 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoPregnant again! Feeling hopeless...?
Alright guys, here's the deal. I have a 4 month old daughter. We recently found out we're pregnant again. 8 weeks to be exact. I was on the nuva ring, and apparently it didn't help much. We went to the dr to confirm and saw the new little heartbeat. Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful for the new life I have inside of me, but on the other hand I'm totally freaked out. My children will only be 11 months apart. DH is really not saying negative things. Well, not as often as I am. Every since I found out, I haven't been able to get out of bed except to take care of my daughter and I have this overwhelming feeling of hopelessness, fear, and anxiety. I've talked to the dr about it and he said at that after my 1st trimester he'll give me something to cope, but I can't spend another 4 weeks in bed. I just want to hear from someone that has a similar experience, how'd you cope, and what was it like when the new baby came?
10 AnswersPregnancy1 decade ago23 weeks preggo and feel like I'm going insane!!!?
Does anyone else have trouble NOT to freak out about the stupidest little things?
For example, I went to L&D last night thinkin I was going in pre-term labor. Turns out, it was round ligament pain! I feel so freakin dumb!
I just wanna know if I'm alone on this or not. Thanks ladies.
3 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoHow are ya pregos?!?
Just for fun, I wanted to get the skinny on how far along everyone is, how ya feeling, and any exciting news lately?
Me: I'm 21 weeks, 3 days, with my first, and it's a girl! I'm feeling ok other than the hip pains and back pains are starting to be... well ... a pain.... but other than that I'm feeling ok... how about you?
12 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoGuess whaaat...?
It's a girl! I just had my ultrasound yesterday, and it's a girl! Oh and she looks really good, measuring right on the way she should be and was just a movin around! Just wanted to let everyone know! If I could scream it from the top of the mountains I would, but I guess Yahoo Answers will have to do for now :) Good luck to everyone else expecting.
13 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoI may just be freaking out buuut...?
Since last night I've had this cramps. I can't tell if they're period cramps or just normal cramps that go with growing pains. I think I've been feeling the baby, but I've only been able to feel him/her for the past 2 days every so often. I guess my 2 questions are..
Are these cramps something I should be worried about? I have no bleeding.
When you first start to feel the baby, since it's so subtle, could there be days where you don't feel the baby as well as before?
Thanks in advance.
1 AnswerPregnancy1 decade agoOk, another girls name.?
Aside from my last question about Lilith, I was also thinking about Joelie for a girl. My dad passed away when we were trying to concieve, and I remember telling him a couple months before to tell Jesus that we wanted a baby when he gets up there (he had stage 3 lung cancer at the time) and he said ok. 3 months after he died, we found out we were pregnant, and I know it was all his doing...so I kind of want to put my dad's name in there which is Joel. So I don't know. Maybe just Joelie with a middle name and call her Joe or Joey for short, or even Lilith Joelie. What do you guys think?
16 AnswersBaby Names1 decade agoWhat about this girls name?
I'm really dead set on Lilith. I just wanted some feedback on it, and possible middle names for it. (I don't know what I'm having yet, but I get to pick the girls name and hubby gets the boys name)
20 AnswersBaby Names1 decade agoIs this the baby or am I just too stoked about baby? LoL?
Ok. Last night before I went to bed, I was feeling these "bubbles" in my stomach. I felt them really good when I layed on my left side. I don't want to stoke myself out and think its the baby if its not. I'm 15 weeks.... here's what I did today...
This morning while sitting up and having a cup of coffee (shun me now, it's ok) I felt a flipping sensation. I did the other morning too, but didn't think nothing of it. So being bored and curious today, I ate a couple peices of candy and drank some ice cold water and layed down on my left side. Within 15 minutes I felt the SAME bubbling that I did last night before I went to bed. Some preggies say it's like bubbles, and you know, what I felt, bubbles are pretty much the closest thing that comes to it. I waited to see if it was gas (I can usually feel my gas within seconds of passing it. Yeah TMI) and it wasn't. It felt really light bubbles, and at time it was strong like someone was blowing rasberries on my uterus if that makes sense....
17 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoTightening in pelvic region.. maybe a little TMI?
Right after I have a bowel movement, I have tightening in my uterus. I don't know if it's actually a tightening, but I'm more aware of where my uterus is right after. Should I worry or is this just normal? It's not cramping and I don't bleed and it only lasts for about 10 minutes and goes away. It could just be my uterus sitting back since I'm not "full" anymore. To put it nicely. Thanks ladies.
1 AnswerPregnancy1 decade agoConstipation and suppositories.?
Are clycerin suppositories safe for pregnancy? I'm waiting on the nurse to call back, but my mom told me to take that. She said it's the only thing that helped her during pregnancy. I've tried everything, colace, prune juice, more fiber, drinking nothing but water, and finally I was fed up and sat on the toilet for about an hour of nothing happening. I need some relief today, and the glycerin suppositories have an almost immediate relief. If anyone can help please! I need some relief! LoL. Thanks ladies.
4 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoAsked this earlier, but only got 2 answers...?
Please read the whole question...
Ok. I know I shouldn't be poking around up there, but my and DH were doin the "deed" the other night and kept feeling him hit something. So afterwards, I checked my cervix, and it's still pretty high, but the very tip of it feels a little open and it's not as long as it was in the beginning. When I was doing progesterone suppositories, my cervix was high up, firm, long, and tightly closed. When I checked it the other night, it was still pretty high up even though it wasn't as high as before, soft, not as long, and the very opening of it didn't feel as tightly closed. But I couldn't fit really any amount of my finger in there. Sorry way to much TMI.
I was just wondering is it normal for the cervix to change like this is normal? I DO have a doc appt in a week, but I just need to know if I should bother them about this before hand...

I was just wondering is it normal for the cervix to change like this is normal? I told hubby that no more deeds until I go to the doc in a week, but until then I wanna know if I should worry or not. No spotting or cramping by the way either... 12 weeks 4 days. I'll be 13 weeks this friday.
