  • What it the world is "1/3" of a bathroom?

I've heard of 1/2 baths which usually means a sink and a toilet and I've heard of 3/4 baths which usually means sink, toilet and small shower.

But what could a "1/3" bath be. Just saw an add for a house that has "2 and 1/3 bathrooms" and want to know if that's a misprint or an actual thing???

  • Where should I cut this board?

I have a board that measures 32" x 72". Neighbor wants to buy it off me but first wants me to cut a "16 inch circumference from one corner of the board". Not wanting to look dumb I say "sure thing".

Now I am nervous about ruining this board. I always thought circumference was the distance around a circle.....but this is a corner cut from a rectangle??? How should I cut this board?

  • Was Scrooge a Democrat before he was visited by 3 ghosts?

    1) He hated Christmas carolers (just like the ACLU)

    2) He felt tax funded goverment solutions for the poor were better than private charity

    3) He wanted to reduce the surplus population

    4) He disliked coal with more passion than Barry Obama himself!

  • Should Iran be worried?

Less than 48 hours after a dismal performance in a debate with Romney about the economy Obama's pals in the Labor Bureau release very dubious numbers about unemployment.

What will the White House do if Obama loses the debate with Romney about foreign policy?

Get ready for $10.00 a gallon oil folks.

  • Should Swing state voters consider this...?

Obama can promise you the moon, he's not running again and can easily afford to renege.

Romney's promises are more meaningful since he will want to win your vote again in 4 years.

  • Why does the weather page on Yahoo say...?

    Current..........99 degrees.

    High..............95 degrees.

Are they that stubborn about their prediction that even when the actual temp exceeds it they stand fast? I've also noticed the opposite in wintertime (where they'll say it's a low of say 30 degrees even though the "current" temp says 26)

  • Just how hard should we fight climate change?

    A) Very hard; not only do we need to cut our own greenhouse emissions by at least 90%, we need to boycott and maybe even embargo those nations who don't follow our lead (such as China, India, and Brazil) Solar and Wind are nice experiments, but climate change is way too serious to wait for those technologies to catch up with our current needs.....more fracking for Natural gas and express greenlighting of nuclear power plant construction is what we must do to save this planet.

    B) We should fight it, but not too hard....who cares what other countries are doing. We can also wait for solar and wind to catch up to our needs and in the meantime just tax the heck out of the most productive members of our economy. Not much will get done in reducing greenhouse emissions, but we'll feel real good about ourselves.

    C) Little things maybe, but let's not get carried away. No one really knows for sure if man is even causing climate change or if the climate is changing on its' own like it has for the last several billion years.

    D) Shouldn't fight it at all.....embrace the change and additional farmland, sunbathing opportunities and savings on home heating it might bring to northern climates.

  • What 5 cities will Iran destroy?

In all likelihood, the Nation of Iran will have at its' disposal, enough enriched uranium to make 5 nuclear bombs in a short period of time.

Tel Aviv, Dubai, maybe even Baghdad are possible targets....but what about New York, London, Washington DC(although that actually might be doing us a favor). Where do you think the Iranians will use their weapons of mass destruction?

  • Was Obama a victim of his own pregnant pauses?

The reporter that "interrupted" him thought he was done. It's a known fact that Obama tends to do a lot of ......um.........well, er ...........pausing for effect (yeah, that's it lol) if you know what I mean. Could it be that this reporter mistook one of those Obamapauses?

  • Why doesn't Mayor Bloomberg reduce the Speed limit to 16 mph?

Nearly all fatal auto accidents involve at least one car going faster than 16mph and car crashes kill at least a 1000 times more children every year than soda. If it's really about saving lives, why have fatally high speed limits?

  • Is Romney a wheelsucker?

Perry, Cain, and now Newt have all been at the top of the polls.....with Romney always a step behind. Is Romney just letting the media beat up on his opponents and staying under the radar while others take all the heat? Is Romney, to borrow a term from cycling, a wheelsucker?

  • What fallacy is it when someone avoids a question by pointing out a fallacy?

Let's say I asserted that x is y bc z looks a lot like x and instead of refuting my question the inquestee instead just dismissed the question as a strawman argument. Is there a name for that?

  • Libertarians: Which plane do you get on?

The Blue Plane goes in the opposite direction from your destination.

The Red Plane doesn't go to your destination, but it makes a couple of stops somewhat nearby....just be prepared to walk a ways.

The Yellow plane is scheduled to go directly to your destination, but the pilot looks like he might be dead, the engine cover is up, every tire is flat, and you just overheard the mechanic tell his nephew to run down to the hardware store for some more duct tape.
