I just bought two alpine type r 12s in a vented box.they are 3000 watts max and 1000 watts rms each.I'm running them on an old school one channel punch bd1000.putting out around 1250watts rms into a two ohm load.it sounds very loud and deep.the question is,should I stay using the bd1000 or should I get a bigger amp to max the subs? If a bigger amp,how many watts rms?I don't wanna burn out the subs.these alpine type r just came out.they're black in color and are 1000 watts rms.

it sounds like it may be a lose wire.i cant find heater box under hood.any ideas what wire it can be. turns off and on constantly.its not radiator fluid.
