The job requires experience in "the application of a routine subject matter," but I don't know what they mean by this. Any ideas?

A few weeks back, I took a British Airways run by American Airlines flight from London to NYC. Because of Hurricane Sandy, my flight back to the UK was delayed for several days and I was stuck in NYC, having to pay for a hotel room. In the EU/UK, the airline would have to pay for this expense, as they cancelled it. British Air says it's an American Airlines problem since they ran the flight and American Airlines says paying for the hotel is an EU law that they don't have to follow. So basically, each airline is blaming it on the other and worming out of paying on a flight they delayed. Is there anything I can do? Are they breaking a law or rule I should know about, that would require them to give my money back? Any advice? Thanks!

I am writing a paper about Busby Berkeley and am looking for movies of his that feature "through the legs tracking shots" or "crotch shots" in which the camera moves through the legs of dancers, typically showing some groin. So, I wear prescription glasses for moderate shortsightedness and astigmatism. Neither are terribly bad and it's not like I have to put my specs on to find the bathroom, but I do need glasses to be safe and comfortable when going about my day. I am trying to order a new pair and the company I am looking at offers a standard, 1.5 lens option for free. Will these be incredibly thick to the point where I look weird or they are uncomfortable? Is something 30% thinner worth the extra cost, or is it unnecessary for someone without severe vision problems?

I am working on an Excel spreadsheet and am pasting text into cells. I would like all of the text to only be visible when you hold a mouse over it or click on it, but right now, its spilling out all over the place, unless I put something in the neighboring cells. How do I conceal it?

I am trying to eat better and get more whole grains in my diet, avoiding processed white flour. As a fan of instant noodles, I've changed to rice noodles made with brown rice flour. Is this healthier than noodles made with white flower? Is brown rice flour a whole grain?

I've just gotten a new computer and want to use itunes on it (of course). I went to the "Apple Account Information" page on itunes, having logged in successfully with my user name and password. However, it just says "one machine is authorized play content purchased with this account" and there is no option to change anything. Do I need to go onto my old computer and de-authorize it first? I normally commute by bicycle, and it's destroying my jeans. The inner thigh of my pants, just under my rear, rubs against my bike seat a little bit when I peddle. I'm not overweight or anything, so it's not an extreme amount of friction, just normal back-and-forth from riding. However, as I ride a lot, it adds up and as a result, it's wearing down my jeans very quickly- a pair used to last two years and now it's more like six months. What can I do to protect them from damage?

I am looking for an accredited online school that would shuffle all of my college credits into a degree with a minimum of difficulty. The school would probably have to have no residency requirement (thus not requiring me to take a bunch of classes with them just because). What kinds of student loans can an American potentially receive to study in Canada? Do federal loans like the stafford apply, or would I have to go entirely private? Thanks!

My older brother is looking to immigrate to Canada, but has few grand in student loans- nothing serious, he makes small monthly payments, he's not having to eat ramen or anything. However, I know that Canada requires a person to have a chunk of savings (apparently, enough to live off of for a year, I think they want you to have roughly $10,000) but I heard that if you have debt, you have to have enough savings to completely cover paying it off. Anyone know about this? Thanks!!

I have a 2 year degree from an American school, and am looking into a couple of advanced diploma programs in Canada, both from well-known and regarded schools. Does such a diploma garner respect in the Canadian work force, or would a resume with such a qualification end up in the shredder?

However, even though they teach things assuming you have no prior knowledge of programs like Photoshop, they want a portfolio. I was in a loud club the other week, and now the hearing in my left ear is noticeably less- there's no pain, but it just feels 'off' and I can't hear as well! What do I do? Is this permanent or might things go back to normal? Help!
