  • How do I concentrate my thoughts so that I can organize my ideas?

I have a paper due. It's my final, and it's due today at 9AM. I've also got a lot of other things that I must do. What I'm doing is a revision of a paper. However, when I wrote it and even now, I'm having a very difficult time organizing my thoughts. I've NEVER had this problem before. Please give me some idea. I have written outlines, I've done everything except hand the paper to someone else and begged them to make sense of it. I've got 6 hours. I've got four more pages. I've got to finish up this semester and keep my scholarships....by the way...I'm not stupid. I started on a medication that's got me out of whack. It's not my fault, but .....whatever....I need help.

  • Cooking with a clothes iron?

I'm in college and I don't have anyway to make hot food from my room. I've heard of making grilled cheese. That's an idea, but are there any other ideas out there?

  • I need a bike.?

I need a bike for college. It is primarily to get from point A to point B. I'd prefer something light-weight. I went to the store to buy one and felt like I was looking at a bunch of unlabeled wires in a phone box. It made no sense. Please point me into the right direction and consider that I'd prefer a bike that's not a piece of crap or too expensive.

  • Theatre colleges in Texas!!!! I just don't know!!?

I am a Senior and I should be going in the fall. I invested my whole self into Baylor University, because it was said to be THE BEST by top critics and teachers, but now that I've seen it, I'm terrified! My local community college is better than that. The teachers were stuffy and gave off an air of "You'd be luck to even be admitted to the program." The theatres were old. The stages were small. Each stage hardly seated anyone. And the campus had great structure, sure. But it was like seeing brick from left to right. The landscaping was miniscule. There wasn't a freaking flower and hardly any trees. Please help. I'm so flustered and freaking out.

  • Free paperdolls by Tom Tierney?

Alright, I'm very interested in different kinds of fashion, especially costumes. I research all of the time. And from my findings one of the most historically accurate and creative designs come from Tom Tierney's paperdolls. I don't want to use them for any other purpose other than research. So, buying the books seems kind of silly. I would like to find pictures of his dolls.

  • What does a senator do?

I'm doing a project for government, and I have to include the responibilities of my representative. My rep is United States Senator for Texas Kay Bailey Hutchison--and I can't find out what she does. What does a Senator do besides vote on things with the rest of the Senate?

  • The Women--Clare Booth Luce?

I have the script of THE WOMEN, but I need it cut. I need a breakdown of how to perform it with the fewest amount of people--possible for one person to play another role. I need it to be cut to 40 minutes max, with at the most ten women. Can this be done? Has anyone done it? Does anyone have a good cut?

  • When can you butt in and save a child from abuse?

I have a cousin, who I love and adore. She came down from Colorado to Texas during the summer to escape her mother—who’s losing her mind. She integrated into the family and we miss her so much.

Now that she’s back home, her parents are abusing her. Her mother is never home, her father is rarely, but when they are, all hell breaks loose. She gets in trouble all of the time for the dumbest of things and the punishments are severe.

She left her stuff on the counter a couple of times in the bathroom, and now her mother only allows her to go to the one in the basement—which is dark and full of spiders—of which she is terrified.

Then she gets a call from her school. She hasn’t been turning assignments in on time (imagine that! A mother that nuts that also makes her practice the flute for an hour every morning); so, she’s distracted-more like terrified. She “lied” about not turning in a homework paper—you see, she lies because she’s scared of the way her mother would react given the truth; and by the way, her mother is a habitual liar and going for a doctorate in psychology. She compares her daughter to the delinquents she works with at a social services place, and these people have killed family pets and beat up mothers and stuff. So, for “lying” she cannot be upstairs or on the main level. She has to stay in the basement all of the time and sleep there.

But now she’s threatening even more, and she’s serious. Next time she’s not even allowed in the house. She will have to sleep outside. And then she’s going to shave her head. And this woman is serious. She does not make idle threats

This little girl is precious, intelligent and in the 7th grade. I want to hold her so badly and tell her that everything will be all right, but when is the time to intervene? Her dad just backs up her mom. And she’s adopted; so, we wouldn’t get her—she’d go into foster care or something. What do you do?
