  • Cisco router question!! (like real Cisco router not Linksys)?

I'm looking for a used Cisco router to buy for my home network, and I've noticed in the Cisco 2000 series of routers have the XM and non XM lines. The XM model's LAN ports are labeled FastEthernet while the non XM models are labeled 10/100 Ethernet.

So what's the deal? Are the non XMs really capable of 100mbps or what? It seems to me that the XMs are supposed to be the 100mbps models and the non XMs are supposed to be the 10mbps models. Is this true?

  • DVD drive is on the slave IDE connector, but BIOS thinks it's on master?

The grey connector on the IDE connector is in the DVD drive, but the BIOS says I have my hard drive and DVD drive on master. My power supply seems to only have one molex connector with a bunch of adapters, can the one connector support all my components (video card, etc)?
