My sister sent me a birthday card ( It was the first I ever received from her) and asked me to send her $4000.00 out of the money my father left me in his will. When I told her "absolutely not", she became angry with me and is now not speaking to me. In fact, I thought I should be the one to get angry. It seemed pretty manipulative to ask me for money in a birthday card! What should I do? Should I just continue things as they are or pretend she never asked?

I have two friends. One is married and the other can't even find a boyfriend. The married one also has a "friend on the side" She is above average looking, but treats all of her men pretty badly. The unmarried one is average looking but would probably be the most loving, dedicated girlfriend a man could have. Why is it that my unmarried friend can't find a man? And why is my married friend able to keep both a husband and a boyfriend when she's is borderline abusive and more concerned about the money they give her rather than in the men themselves. I can understand the initial attraction to her looks, but why do they stay even with the poor treatment?
