First off Im in Illinois. I am subleasing office space and we are working on a contract. The person I am subleasing from wants rent due on the first of every month. I am fine with this, my problem with the terms is that the contract states if rent is paid on the second of the month or later our contract is void and I have 30 days to get out.

Is that normal? Zero tolerance for a late payment? Doesn't the state law require that the tenant be given a minimun of 5 days to come up with rent before eviction can be started?

Okay first, I never in my 38 years remember us having a balanced budget. Second, what does that actually mean? You can balance your budget but still be in the red. Right?

I guess getting the moron vote would really help out her campaign.

My Question is does she really think that lying to the public even when she knows 80%+ know she is lying help her in '08?

If a owner of a small business throws a company x-mas party does he have to invite all employees, or can he pick and choose who gets invited? Just wondering if there is actually a law about this or not.
