What other fairy tale would make a good crossover for "Little Red Riding Hood"?
Based on content and theme?
What plot/characters would mesh well?
Some suggested "Beauty and the Beast"
Others say "Snow White"
Personally I see more a connection (although in name only) between Snow White and Snow White and Rose-Red and Briar Rose (Sleeping Beauty)

How does one derive a center/mono (L+R) and a ambient surround (L_R) from two channel stereo?
The summed-mono is one speaker and the ambient surround is two.
Without actually connecting the L and R speakers?
I have read about matrix and Hafler and Klipsch; about in and out of phase, but I just want to make sure and do it without the L and R

3 AnswersComics & Animation7 years agoDoes Aliens(Movies), Prometheus, AvP, Predator and Bladerunner/Soldier Share the same universe?
When Prometheus was released, I read somewhere that Prometheus, Aliens, AvP and Predator shares the same universe as Bladerunner and Soldier (screenwriters admission).
Some has said yes and others mentions its just "Easter Eggs".
Given that there was also a crossover with Terminator, does that mean it (Terminator)is also part of it (the shared universe)?
And Avatar?
Would any combination makes sense?
Does rights have any impact??

4 AnswersCooking & Recipes7 years agoWas Lamia considered to be snake-like creatures before Keats' poem?
In ancient Greek mythology, Lamia (/ˈleɪmiə/; Greek: Λάμια) was a beautiful queen of Libya who became a child-eating daemon. Aristophanes claimed her name derived from the Greek word for gullet (λαιμός; laimos), referring to her habit of devouring children.
In the myth, Lamia is a mistress of the god Zeus, causing Zeus' jealous wife, Hera, to kill all of Lamia's children (except for Scylla, who is herself cursed) and transform her into a monster that hunts and devours the children of others. Another version has Hera merely stealing away all of Lamia's children and it being Lamia herself, losing her mind from grief and despair, who starts stealing and devouring others' children out of envy, the repeated monstrosity of which transforms her into a monster on its own.
Some accounts say she has a serpent's tail below the waist. This popular description of her is largely due to Lamia, a poem by John Keats composed in 1819. Antoninus Liberalis uses Lamia as an alternate name for the serpentine drakaina Sybaris; however, Diodorus Siculus describes her as having nothing more than a distorted face.
Later traditions referred to many lamiae; these were folkloric monsters similar to vampires and succubi that seduced young men and then fed on their blood.

2 AnswersBaby Names7 years agoHow can I or should I create and elaborate on these magical "classes' in my story? It features wizards, witches and warlocks, inter alia.?
Wizards:
Old, bearded and scholarly men with a ward or staff and has a library with scrolls and grimoires; a mixture of Western druids and Eastern magi. Innate ability or studious in nature ;cabalistic traits.
Witches:
Live in a cottage somewhere and will be green-skinned, crooked nose, warts, Book of Shadows. They will have brooms, familiars, etc.
Warlocks:
The Anglo-saxon meaning, 'oath-breaker' is the most common use of the word. The label has fallen from use and is often seen as a derogatory title.
The Old Norse word 'vardlokkur' which has been translated to warlock. However there are several mythological tales about the Vardlokkur guarding the gates of knowledge. The Vardlokkur were the wise men of divine knowledge who protected that wisdom and guarded it with their lives.
Wyrds:
I wish to create another (female) groups called Wyrds like David Gemmell’s books.
Wyrd is a concept in Anglo-Saxon culture roughly corresponding to fate or personal destiny.
In Classical Antiquity, an oracle was a person or agency considered to interface wise counsel or prophetic predictions orprecognition of the future, inspired by the gods.
Shamanism is a practice that involves a practitioner reaching altered states of consciousness in order to encounter and interact with the spirit world and channel these transcendental energies into this world.
Its fiction and fantasy and by in no way intended to insult, contradict or make light anyone’s beliefs or way of life.
1 AnswerBooks & Authors7 years agoHow do I re-write a character class in a story?
A boy gets accidentally transported to the magical world of Wildewynne by the gifted, but clumsy, wizard Merdynn.
In chapter 2, Morgwen, Griselda and Evanore gets introduced as the Witches Three along with two familiars Lazy, the cat and Foresight, the cock-eyed barn owl.
Now I want to change the Witches Three to the Wyrd Sisters (they are like female Wizards and not exactly like the Wyrd/Norns concept)
Unfortunately this changes the whole dynamic of the witches and the familiars and the cliche green skin, brooms and cauldrons.
I only have the 2 chapters so far and can be found @
