  • What's the best free synthesizer program?

I'm in an up and coming band and we want to incorporate a synth into our music. I was wondering if there are any good free synth programs available.

  • Tongue piercing question?

I'm getting my tongue pierced on friday, and i have band practice on saturday. I'm the lead singer, and was wondering if i'll be able to sing so soon after the piercing. I plan to suck on ice and use anti-inflamatories, but will it be ok? Thanks in advance

  • Is there wireless equipment for electric guitars?

Every time i see a music video, the bands guitars never seem to be plugged in. Are they using some kinda wireless thing, or are they unplugged to allow them move more freely for the video, and to look cooler?

  • Can you judge my latest work?

    My Muse

    Jaysus, it must've been hard,

Growing up the way you had to.

    Him not playing his part.

    I don't know what I'd do.

He should've taught you to cycle.

Been strict when you were naughty.

    Checked your closets for monsters.

And showed you to swim in the sea

    Who read you the stories,

    As you went to sleep?

Who was there to hold you,

When you fell and needed to weep?

    How did you know

What to do for your first date?

    What did you do

If you fell out with your mate?

    Jaysus it must've been hard,

Growing up the way had to

With him not in your life.

Ah well, what can you do?

    My mam read me stories.

    Woman can read to.

So I don't know what you mean

    "I don't know what I'd do"

    Riding a bike is easy.

I picked it up in a day.

And why would I ask him

    About my first date anyway?

    Life was much easier

    Learning on my own.

    Because without him

I was lucky to be shown

That I can be what I want.

And live life at my whim.

And what I really want to be,

    Is absolutely nothing like him.

  • A new poem, can you please C+C? much appreciated?

    03:34 am

You’re asleep in front of me,

Lying in baited breath, sweet dreams.

All I want to do is make you see,

That everything you know, isn’t what it seems.

It’s almost easier to talk this way.

As if you’re dead in your slumber.

You have to hear what I want to say,

Although I doubt anything will register.

And so my heart comes bleeding through,

    And everything comes to light.

And I tell everything to you,

But of course it’s all in spite.

    Because you’re not really there.

Just the figure of what I know to be.

Maybe one day I can finally share

These feeling of what you mean to me.

  • What do you think of this new poem? C+C please?

    These Four Walls

    The smudges on the wall

    The stains on the floor.

    I’ve seen them all

    It’s time for more.

    These 12x12 fittings

    Have become my cage.

    But you’d never think

    They housed so much rage.

    These 8x8 fittings

Are where I lay my head.

    Where I breathe each day

Where I’ll stay till I’m dead.

    These 4x4 fittings

    Are my new domain.

    The safest place I know

    Rotting in my shame.

    These ******* walls

    Close in further each day.

    And when they’re done closing

How much of me will remain?

  • Thoughts on a love poem?

    Staring through the pane,

    Thinking of your smile.

I try to remember your name,

Buts its been a long while.

    Digital words aren’t enough,

The time we have is precious.

Which is what makes it so tough

And why I have come to regret this.

I can’t risk falling in love with you,

When you will always be so far away.

    If this love is true,

Then we will be together always, someday.

  • Re posting an old poem. Your thoughts?

When I was younger I used to cry,

    As all children do.

I would cry when I fell,

    Or when I needed something.

    Superficial tears.

    I cried like all children.

As I got older I stopped crying.

    Things stopped affecting me.

I didn’t cry at my grandmothers funeral,

    Or when my cat died.

The emotion was there, but I produced no tears.

    Last night I cried,

At the top of the stairs,

    As we said our goodbyes.

Every tear dedicated to you guys.

    I will miss you all,

    Forever in my mind.

  • Re posting a really old poem. What do you think?

    The One Truth

Today I was asked to smile,

    I chose not to.

I have nothing to smile about,

And no one to smile for,

No good could come of it.

    I chose not to smile.

Today I was told to smile,

    I refused.

    I would go against anyone,

If it meant not going against myself.

I have nothing to smile about,

And no one to smile for.

What good could come of it?

    I refused to smile.

Today I was forced to smile,

    I’m losing the battle.

    Under threat of social exile,

I beamed out at the world,

And the world beamed back at me.

    Everyone looked so happy,

I have never felt so sick,

    But the war rages on.

    Today I wanted to smile.

    Everything seemed much brighter,

I wanted to beam out at the world,

A sincere grin in a sea of lies.

I now have something the smile about.

I’ve found people worth smiling for.

    Today I wanted to smile,

    And I couldn’t.

  • Opinions on this poem?

    In Silence No More

    Another red mark,

    Another sign of love.

    When will you say

    I’ve finally had enough

    You swear he cares,

But we see through the lie

    Except for you it seems,

No matter how hard you try.

But this time it’s too far,

You’ve been all alone in this war.

From now on with you friends help,

You’ll suffer in silence no more.
