I've done several different internet searches on rental homes in the Gatlinburg area, but can only find homes with community pools.

I've been reading a lot of articles on what children should know before they enter Kindergarten, some written by independent writers, some from state board of education websites.

Some articles list simple accomplishments, others are exhaustive and lead me to wonder just what the teacher would be doing if the kids already knew everything the articles state they should know.

So, I want to hear from teachers only, preferably early education teachers: what would you like kids to already know before entering kindergarten, and what do you feel is your responsibility to teach them?

We have renter's insurance through State Farm. Our house was broken into this past Sunday (it is now Wednesday). I filed our itemized list with the claims department on Monday. It was not a large claim (under $2500). How long does it typically take to get the settlement check? I would like to have some of the items that were taken, replaced before Christmas (digital camera and such). Also, how much depreciation will there likely be?

I know about most of the discount websites, but would love to hear of any new good ones. Also, is there any site that gives discount codes for rentals, or is there anything I can say to get a better deal?
