So, the seasons are changing again and as summer wans, so I will be taking my second daughter to college. I am overjoyed that she will start a life independent of me, and also heartbroken. My son begins his freshman year at High School. He is my youngest. I know I am at the crossroads, with adult children (both girls) and one teenager home. I wonder how much I have grown.

  • Are all Americans mandated to receive a microchip tracking device according to ACA?

I watched several videos that state that

    Subtitle C-11, Subsection 2521

Requires all US citizens to have a

RFID - Radio Frequency Identification implant.

    Is this true?

  • If Americans paid off 17 Billion dollar in credit card debt last year....?

and we actually manage to do the same thing again this year, how would that affect the banking industry?

  • Have you stopped using credit? Changed banks?

I haven't owned a credit card since 1999. I bank with the local credit union. Anyone else out there on cash only budget? Decided to go with the local credit union instead of a huge monopoly? Just curious.

  • Daughter moved home to have a baby?

Long story short, I went to Florida to move her back to NY back in May. Of course, she's been unemployed for the last trimester of her pregnancy, then enrolled in college at 20 hours and went to work four weeks after the baby was born at 36 hours. All against our advice, which was to keep it at 40 hours.

The intention was for her to go back gradually, and adjust to a newborn.

As a result of this 60 hour week she is out of the house from 8 to 10 four nights a week, has class once a week from 6 to 9, works another 8 to 4 shift, and has a day off.

Do the math and you see that we are now doing childcare from 6 to 10 5 nights a week, and pinch hitting for her sitter weekends.

That aside, we've found her to be very difficult to persuade to clean anything, her room, the kitchen, sweep, anything. She won't do it.

She leaves the kitchen, the living room and the dining room, which is all our remaining living space completely trashed. Not to mention the incredible, disorganized mess her room has remained since she got here.

The baby is 7 weeks old and she has not addressed her WIC, Food Stamps, Daycare or housing subsidies.

She tells everyone she's exhausted all the time. I get up to do the 6:30 a.m feeding because she's too exhausted to get the baby a bottle.

It seems we are swimming upstream with this situation and our only alternative is to help her find her own place very, very soon. She's strained our finances, our emotions, and our energy. She doesn't seem to be able to make a decision in favor of organization, co-operation or respect. Never mind a thank you.

We've made our best effort at being a support. Apparently, she's supposed to go to work and school and everyone else is supposed to clean, do childcare and generally nursemaid her.

Any suggestions, because this is totally out of hand. We can't stand the mess and the strain she instigates in interpersonal relationships is ridiculous.

I'd rather not put her out, but I don't see an alternative. Help!

  • My daughter is pregnant as a result of sexual battery?

Apparently this person slipped her a mickey and followed her outside when it made her sick. He then assaulted her and left her in the parking lot.

Weirdly enough, he called his phone from hers and started harassing her on the phone, so we have a phone number. Her number has changed since then.

After awhile she realized she was pregnant.

She does not remember him or the assault. She is having the baby because, she says, it is not the baby's fault.

My SO and I believe he should pay support. Pressing charges right now is out of the question even though she did file the report because she just shakes if you bring him up and says she just can't handle facing him. (And no, she's not wimpy, she's scared. This is a kid who has lived out of state with my brother and niece for the last two years, gone to work and school full time, owns her own car , pays a share of household bills, and bought her own furniture. She moved away to go to Florida where my family is, not because of any trouble at home.)

I've had her request a copy of the report so we can begin searching for this person. I live in New York and she's coming home at the end of this semester.

My question is this: Should we actually come up with a name, and file for support, does he have parental rights since she only filed the report? Could we put an order of protection in place? Also, are there any advocacy groups out there we can turn to for help?

I don't want to push her, she's coping well, still in school and working, so it's kinda on me and my extended family to follow through on this.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • My 22 year old daughter was slipped a mickey and is now pregnant?

She wants nothing to do with the person who fathered the baby.

    He is in jail.

Is there any way she can apply for Child Support without allowing him parental rights?

  • What are you doing to save a buck, with prices so off the hook?

We started carpooling, which cut our gas cost right in half.

I turn off lights when we aren't in a room. I started baking on Saturdays. We go through one homemade cake, a batch of brownies, and a pie every week.

I experimented with gardening this summer. Next summer there are some select fruits and veggies I plan to grow myself.

  • Anyone else start carpooling when gas went up?

We parked the truck and share the 4-cylinder.

We've cut our cost by half.

Did you do anything else to keep a dollar in your discretionary pocket?

I'm the Lights Police. If you're not in that room, turn everything OFF! This helps.

  • Anyone currently using solar/wind power at home?

I've done a little research and the cost is not prohibitive, as far as I can see.

Do you ever have interrupted power?

How much did the panels/windmills cost?

    How much was installation?

Do you plan to invest in alternative energy sources again? What, exactly?

    Estimate your savings, please.

  • Can you correct radiation damage?

I had radiation to my back left thigh12 years ago. 7 years ago I started having problems and had my first contact with the first neurologist.

Now the sciatic nerve is involved and I have lost sensation in my toes and range of motion in my ankle.

Have had no success with physical therapists, rehabilitative therapists or neurologists, and a neurosurgeon.

What field of medicine is this? Neurology just doesn't seem to know what to do.

  • If they have 700 billion dollars...?

Why can't they kick some of it back to the taxpayer?

Say $5000.00 to everyone who files.

    Not no $500.00 Obama proposes.

Pay back enough to stimulate the economy.

How come we don't get $10,000.00 per every tax form filed?

Some of that has to come to the taxpayer.

  • My autistic daughter's SSI has been denied after 9 years...?

She's been diagnosed by a physician and a psycholgist and when she turned 18 SSI had her go for an evaluation.

She was in with their personnel for all of 5 minutes, and they determined that now she is not autistic.

    I have filed for reconsideration.

Is there anything else I can do?
