I am 27 and in 2008 I got married and also purchased a single family home. I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice/tips on what to look for when filing my taxes this year.

Also, are there any claims/rebates I am eligible for as a new home buyer?

I'm in a whole new "tax arena" now that I'm out of the "single zero" bracket! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I love video games. Aside from playing/watching sports its my favorite thing to do. 2008 was an amazing year for gamers. There were so many amazing games that there wasn;t enough time to play the all (I still need to play Dead Space and Fallout 3).!!!

So what was your favorite game of 2008. Mine was Metal Gear Solid 4 : Guns of the Patriots. I've played and loved Metal Gear since Nintendo NES (I'm 27) and MGS4 was one of the best games I've played my whole life, never mind just 2008. It tied together a story that has been evolving for 20 years and it was perfect. Graphics, Story, Sound, Action, Drama, and an Emotional rollercoaster!!! Other Favs this year were : Gears 2, Resistance 2, Fable 2, LBP, and Prince of Persia.

I have a 60gb PS3 and Guitar Hero 3 with 2 Gibson wireless controllers. I was wondering if Guitar Hero 2 and Guitar Hero Rock the 80s is compatible with the PS3 wireless guitars?

Can anyone help me out?

I just read on Game Informer that Sony is putting out a 80gb PS3 bundle that will include MGS 4 and the Dual Shock 3 controller!!!!!!! All for $499 which is the current price of the 80gb Motorstorm bundle! Awesome.

This is awesome news. Who is excited about this, whos gonna pick one up, and how well do you think this will impact PS3 sales ?

I played the demo and wasn't very impressed. I was really looking forward to the game so I was wondering if there was anyone who has played a good deal of the game and what are your impressions of it?

Please give me more than "its awesome or its the best game of the year". That doesn't hold much weight. How is the gameplay, etc. etc.

I have a 2007 Civic Si Coupe (Figi Blue Pearl) and am looking to lower it just a bit to give it an even more aggressive stance.

I like to keep everything as OEM as possible when it comes to my cars (no crazy fast and furious stuff). However, lowering the Si is omething I really want to do.

What is the best way to go about this. I've looked into Lowering Springs (Eibach, TEIN) and was wondering if spring alone will do the trick? Or do I need coil-overs, etc.

I'm not looking to go crazy low with the car just .75-1" inch drop will suit me fine.

Now Barry Bonds has some friends to take the burden off his back. Roger Clemens, a pitcher whose accolades pitching, compliment Bonds' hitting accomplishements, was a sure fire Hall of Famer. If Bonds doesn't get in, Clemens doesn't get in, and main stream media and America better think about all the crap Barry Bonds had to take while we dismissed guys like Andy Pettite and Roger Clemens.

Well Guess what?? Clemens and Pettite's careers are just as tarnished now and they can be classified as cheaters too! Anything else would be hypocritical.

Do you think these men, whose stats make them 1st ballot hall of famers, should still be allowed into the Hall of Fame?

My local Gamestop got Drakes Fortune in today. When I bought Assassin's Creed on Wednesday they tipped me off that they would be getting Drake's early. Sure enough I got my copy @ 1:30 this afternoon.

Has anyone else gotten it and how do you like it? I think its awesome. The graphics are just mindblowing! Awesome game top to bottom. Let me know what you think.

Defensive P.I. on Ellis Hobbs, no P.I. called for Moss when he was molested, offensive P.I. called on Moss when there was no penalty.

This was supposed to be one of the NFL's most epic battles and it was ruined by the refs favoring the Colts. The Colts got so many calls it made me sick. It ruined the whole game.

The Pats should be 10-0 for beating the refs and the Colts.

Hats off to Dwight Freeney, he made Matt Light looked bad.

Can't wait til the AFC Championship game, just have better refs.

Capcom announced to day that it will be making Lost Planet for the PS3 !!! This is good news as Lost Planet is a great game and shows that PS3 is picking up steam. 360 thought they had our exclusives well, haha, goes both ways. I wonder how many more 360 exclusives will jump ship. Capcom also announced Street Fighter 4 for PS3 !!! Can't wait for that. Whos excited about Lost Planet, I know I am ??

What's that about Blu-ray discs not being needed? According to Develop Magazine, Heavenly Sword has over 10 GB of sound FX, with three and a half hours of music, 4500 different lines of dialogue, and an hour and a half of cut scenes recorded in eleven (!) different languages. This means that without even counting the textures, art, models or anything else, the game couldn't fit on a normal DVD. It also means we're in for a hell of an aural treat when the game comes out next month.

Tom Covin, the audio lead for Ninja Theory, explains why they've put so much time and effort into their music and sound effects, "For me, sound is very 'immediate' to the player. Music has a well-established cultural language; sound is much less clearly delineated – but you can get straight to someone's emotional responses with it – there's little time for the brain to analyse. Sound is key in making this awesome weapon – the Heavenly Sword – come to life so you can sense its brooding power and almost hear it feeding off each kill."

The Develop article delves in deep into the sound theory and technology that was used in the development of Heavenly Sword and is a great read for those interested in some of the behind-the-scene machinations of one of the PS3's most anticipated titles. If only September would come a little quicker ...

I am a huge fan of the Harry Potter books and movies. I don't usually buy movie based video games but I have an itch to buy Order of the Phoenix.

I want to know if it is worth picking up?? What is it like, graphics, fun, etc. etc.

Keep in mind I am a real big fan of the series so I'm likely to not be as critical as someone who is looking at it as just a game.

Hey there everyone, I have an idea and I would like all your input/advice. This applies for all consoles so lets put aside the PS3 vs. 360 vs. Wii crap and come together.

I was wondering if maybe we present the idea that instead of making the NCAA football/Basketball games $50 or $60 bucks, add on a $1o dollar donation fee and include the names of all the atheletes. I know right now they can't because of amatuer athelete rules and such but if all the donations went to schools and scholarships I think that would be a worthwhile effort. And we wouldn't have to spend hours entering the names of the players !

Who thinks this is a good idea? Lets do something.

I recently moved to a new apt. last weekend and now that my internet is back up I'm having a tough time getting online. It's hit and miss really. Sometimes I can get on and then other times I can't get an internet signal. My CPU seems to be OK so I wonder if it is the router??? Anyone have any advice. Thanks.

I would like to know if there is anyone here that has a 06 or 07 Si Civic and has replaced the stereo in it. If you have this car youu know it comes with a really impressive stereo from Honda, however I am interested in putting a DVD-CD player with a 7inch or so screen.

Is the amp for the car built into the factory stereo? If so when you change head units am I going to have to buy a new amp to keep the current power? Also, how much did install cost and does the piece for the dash look flush and like it came with the car???

I have had a 360 since it came out. I also bought a PS3 a week after launch. I've had issues with my 360, had it sent out twice and so has this kid I work with; I've never had a problem with the PS3. The PS3 looks better and after all the bells and whistles I actually dropped more on my 360 than the PS3! ! !

So whats the deal. Obviously the 360 has more games IT CAME OUT A YEAR AND A HALF EARLIER!!!! But PS2 has had more good games than the 360 has in the last two years. I like 360 but it doesn't even touch the PS3. Whats the deal???
