  • Worried about preeclampsia please help?

My partner and i are expecting our 2nd child. She is around 19 weeks pregnant and whilst at work which she feels as if she is under stress there, her blood pressure today was a little high, she was also complaining of headaches so she went to the doctors tonight and they tested the blood pressure again and it was still a little high but slightly lower than what it was earlier in the day. She did a urine sample and it came back with something in it that indicated she was quite dehydrated and there was also a slight amount of protein in it as well.

Does this mean preeclampsia? Im stressing so much and im so nervous the baby will be premature/not healthy

  • Issues making Italian Meringue, help!?

Hey guys i made italian meringue today and it didnt work out. The mixture was to runny. I dont get it ive done it before and its worked fine but today is the first time i have ever halved a recipe and it didnt work.

Its for macarons btw. Normally its 110g egg white i whip up and 300g sugar and 75g water i use for the sugar syrup but today it was half. I get the sugar syrup to 112-115 degrees then i started whipping the egg whites and when the syrup hits 118 degrees i take it off and pour it in a steady stream. The syrup got to 118 quite quickly so the whites werent whipping for to long before i added the syrup.

    Is that the issue?

  • Best way for going from Melbourne to Pittsburgh?

Hey all, I am planning on going for a holiday late next year to Pittsburgh and I am wondering the best way to do it?

Do you go directly to Pittsburgh or do you have to go to a major airport like Washington or something first? I have never flown overseas before so I am clueless lol.

  • Blood in stool or bits of food?

I had a bowel movement earlier and i noticed bits of red through some of it. They were only like specs throughout some of it.

Last night i had a little bit of sundried tomato and also some roasted red peppers.

Is there a chance it could be the food rather than blood?

I am a hypochondriac and would love some clarity

  • Possible yeast infection on penis?

Hey guys so i think but not sure if i have a yeast infection or not :/.

It first started a couple days ago and it was red spots that appeared just under my foreskin at the head of the penis. It was itchy but not at all painful. There was quite a few of them as well which was annoying.

Went to the doctors he has sent me for a urine test to test for chlamydia and gonorrhea etc but i doubt i would have that as my partner definitely doesn't. In the mean time i have been given Advantan ointment to apply to it. Now its like starting to peel it looks like? Its really weird and just wondering what you guys think and also how i may have got it. Ive had the same sex partner for quite sometime now and just got it now.

This morning the pains were bad and ive been to the toilet twice

Im a hypochondriac so as you can guess im stressing for the worst thinking its something bad like colon or bowel cancer but im not sure.

  • have i injured my quad muscle?

Last night at footy training we did some sprint work and i pulled up sore in my upper left quad (just below the hip) it wasnt like a tearing feeling or i didnt feel like a pop or anything it was just a pain that come along. I went off the track and didnt go back on because i wasnt sure.

I went home and iced it a few times before i went to bed. Today its still sore, when i walk the pain isnt bad but i can still feel something like not really pain but i can feel it. When i push on the muscle i feel minor pain as well and when i stretch it (the heel to bum stretch) its a bit painful as well.

Its round 1 this saturday and i really dont want to miss out ive had a really good pre season. Does it sound like an injury? What do you recommend i do from here until saturday?

  • is there something wrong with my stool!? please help!?

Hey all, can someone tell me if there is anything wrong with my stool, last week i was worried so i went to my doctor and she got me to do a stool test (3 different samples on 3 different days) i did that and all 3 came back clear with no blood or mucus or anything.

Then this morning i went to the toilet and did this in the image provided. Is this blood in my stool or could it be nothing to worry about and just something i ate? I am 23 years old, there was no pain when passing this stool.

    Please help!

  • Question regarding Pittsburgh Steelers?

Im a steelers fan from Australia and have only really gotten into NFL the past 2 seasons, and obviously before now the steelers didnt make the playoffs from when i was watching. Since steelers won the AFC north division do they get a double chance in the playoffs?

Also what is everyones predictions for the steelers ravens game!? Im hoping we get the job done even without Bell as it looks like he will miss, and of course already no Keisel and Polamalu!

  • blood test results question please read!?

It was a general blood test to check everything. Everything was normal except liver functions and kidney functions (creatine) were slightly high, like only slightly.. I think one said normal was 110 and it was 118 and the other was 7 over, she said its nothing to worry about. She gave me a script just to re test in 6 weeks.

I have a theory the creatine could be up for the kidneys because i workout at the gym and onpy until about 2 weeks ago i had taken creatine supplements for 8 weeks straight but then i had a 2 week break. I also eat tuna at least 6 times a week.

Should i worry at all? I constantly worry about health related issues so just need re assurance

  • Twitching muscles related question?

Over the past 2-3 days i have had twitching on my abdominal muscles and also my top right eye lid, it has been 3 days now and it wont go away, i went to the doctors last night. He said it s nothing to worry about, he asked if i go to the gym and lift weights, which i do. I go 4 days a week and also do football training 2 times a week.

Also over the past 3-4 days, my sleep has been all over the place as i work in a bakery and have been getting up at 4am so only getting between 4-6 hours of sleep. I dont know if these factors matter, but i am mentioning it just incase.

But yeah i am just wondering why isnt it going away, it doesnt hurt or anything it is just annoying.

  • How much would of my cardio been effected in this situation?

I play AFL footy and i last did any sort of running or cardio about 2 months ago now, the main reason for this is because the season finished and i have spent those 2 months in the gym trying to get stronger and put on size. I haven't been eating junk, been eating quite healthy actually.

Today i went to do some sprint work and i was stuffed within 5 minutes of doing it, i was just doing 50m sprints up and back and after doing that 3 times with short breaks inbetween i was stuffed.

How long will it take for me to get fit again? I'm suprised at how quickly and how stuffed i was lol..

  • little spots in my stool? help please?

hey everyone, yesterday i noticed these little spots in my stool, i don't know what they are, they are if i had to say a real light yellow colour, very small (probably about the size of a grain of quinoa) and they have just suddenly appeared.

I dont have any issues passing my stool, it isn't at all painful, no blood, it isn't black, and i am not constipated.

Im not sure if it would have anything to do with it but i will say it anyway. Last monday i started a health eating bulk diet because i want to put on weight and remain healthy, so i have been eating pretty healthy since then.

I did eat quinoa 2 nights ago for dinner and quite a bit of it, and i noticed these spots first yesterday. Would that have anything to do with it?

  • Finger Injury question?

Last year i around April i dislocated my finger playing football (aussie rules) and it basically hasnt healed since, its swollen and i cant bend it, i've had 2 x-rays since it happened and in them there has been no break/fracture. I think it just isn't healing due to the fact i havent rested and i am still playing football.

I haven't had an x-ray on it since about January-February i think it was, and have played and trained numerous times since obviously. But lately it is very swollen and occasionally just randomly i get this pain in it which is hard to explain, sort of like a sharp burning pain it feels like.

Should i get it checked out or is it still just swelling from the dislocation?
