What type of armor would a woman have worn in medeval times?
Someone like Joan of Arc or Isabella of Castile. I would think that it would be a smaller version of men's armor, but in "The Constant Princess" by Philippa Gregory, Catherine of Aragon wore only a breastplate over a dress. I know Philippa Gregory isn't known for accuracy, but would a woman wear something like that to battle?

4 AnswersMedia & Journalism1 decade agoDo You Know What Poem This Is?
I remember reading a poem I really liked in school, but I can't remember the title or author. It was about a Robin Hood type guy (a highway man?) in either the 17 or 1800's. He goes to an Inn and meets the Inn Keeper's daughter (I think her name was Bess). I'm pretty sure she liked him. The stable boy (I think his name was Tom) loved her too, and was jealous of the man, so he went and got the police. They killed the man and I think they might have killed the girl too. For awhile I though it was something by Edgar Allan Poe, but it isn't. It has a similar feel to it though.

5 AnswersHistory1 decade agoHow Did Tudor Era Royalty Wear Their Crowns?
I know that Elizabeth I has a crown on in a few of her pictures, but how did they wear crowns when women always wore the hoods? And what about the men? I haven't seen any pics of Henry VIII with a crown on. Did they even wear crowns?
