I am currently looking to get a used car and I need one fast bc my 2001 jetta 1.8t is done for. I am currently debating between the following 3 cars all wit one owner & within my price range. 2005 Elantra GLS w/ 35k miles, 2003 Mazda Protege LX w/ 61k miles & a 2006 Dodge Stratus SLX w/ 63k miles. All three cars run great & are within my $6-9k budget. I have found mixed reviews on both cars and have to make a decision ASAP. I drive 50 miles everyday and want something that is going to be reliable and last me a few years without any huge expensive problems.

Today, my 2001 VW Jetta GLS 1.8T would not start. The starter was turning over but engine not starting. After multiple tries, the car finally came on but my EPC light was on. The car ran a little rough intially but was then fine. I stopped at a store and when I came out, the car started right up no problems. Later in the day, same problem... car wouldn't start and when it did the EPC light was on. Anyone have any idea what this may be? The last thing I want is for me to be somewhere and my care not be able to start or for some dealer or sleazy mechanic to take advantage of me not knowing about cars

I am 25 and last Saturday I met a man at a show. I thought he was attractive and we talked and hit it off. At the end of the night he asked for my number and walked me to my car to clean the snow off of it for me. I though at the time he was in his early thirties and he asked me to dinner this Saturday. I then found out he is 42 so he is closer to my parents ages than mine (mom is 45, dad is 49). Is this ok or odd?

saturday night i lost control of my 01 vw jetta 1.8t gls. the car spun in a few circles and went over a small curb. afterwards i realized the steering wheel to the left to go srraight and the handling was bad. i had it looked at and was told two tires need to be replaced.and.the whole rear axle. i got the car for 3000 with a loan which im still paying and book value was 5750. i dont really know wjat this will cost to get fixed or what to do

I have an 01 jetta gls turbo & shortly after buying it, my check engine light came on. P0170 Fuel trim bank 1 malfunction. After the used car dealer I bought it from looked at it, he replaced the thermostat & turbo free of charge because they were both no good. He thought that this would solve the check engine light issue but after 50 miles the light came back on & he is stumped. Does anyone know what this message could possibly be?

I just bought a 2001 VW Jetta GLS 1.8T. I filled up the tank when I got it with 87 and a day later, my check engine light came on. Since then, I had brought it back to who I bought it from & he replaced the thermostat bc he thought that was the issue. 50 miles later, the check engine light is on. Keep in mind, I had discovered that I should be putting premium gas in this car so I had put about 8 gallons of 93 in it to try to offset the 87. Could the gas really be the reason my check engine light is back on?

I am not a pot head but recently I have smoked the occasional bowl. The last time I smoked was on November 4th and I have an interview on the 13th and I believe I am going to be drug tested. Since the last time I smoked, I have been drinking a lot of water, trying to drink at least one cup of green tea a day, exercising and taking a multi-vitamin hoping it would increase my chances of passing. Does anyone have any other pointers that may help me pass a urine test?

I'm 22 and just graduated from college. When I was a freshman 4 years ago I was 100lbs. Now, I am 145lbs and I am 5'7" so I know I'm not overweight by any standards. However, I have developed some stomach fat (I can still feel a defined six pack underneath), my upper arms, thighs, and *** are not as firm and toned as they used to be and neither is my back. I recently got engaged and I want to lose some of my college weight for my wedding. My goal is to get down to 125 but I would realistically be please with even 10 lbs. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
