Something happened in the late 70's and country just hasn't been the same since, it seems every year it gets more and more and more overproduced. Is there an underground country scene like rock and folk? Like there's radio rock and "folk" then there's underground/independant artists making good music, where the good country?

I find them to be very polarizing. I'm personally socially liberal and (at least on a personal level) economically conservative. This tends to line me up best with the libertarian party, granted I have differences with them as well. I just want a party that represents my beliefs. Main point would be:

1.Increase spending on education.

2.Increase spending on health care (make it more accessible, possibly even free depending on your income level)

3.decrease military spending

4.Stay out of social issues such as abortion (obviously regulate them) I think abortion is terrible, but I don't give a crap if someone I don't know does it.

5. legalize drugs/substances that aren't harmful/addictive.

6. Increase minimum wage

7. Move towards being more of a neutral country, worry about our citizens first, stop aiding countries so much/often.

It's not a rule by any means, some women have better taste in music than the average male and some men have absolutely awful taste. But on average it seems I notice that men tend to have better test. For instance more men than women tend to know/listen to townes van zandt, blaze foley, The Grateful Dead, The Band, etc.

I've never met a single human being who listens to the radio, it's complete and utter garbage, every single station (with the exception of certain public radio stations) if no one listens why do they keep playing the same garbage over and over and over again? If no ones listening aren't their ratings in the toilet?

Daniels has been killing it, but it's because of all the TD's, Pitta is getting more YPG. Who should I start? Pitta may get more yards, but it seems flacco likes to dump it off to daniels in the endzone. Thoughts?

The White Stripes were good, The Racentours were alright, now suddenly he goes solo, his music is at a career low point and he's suddenly a massive superstar headlining festivals? What the heck, not really seeing what's so special about him.

I barely make enough to get by, yet every pay check (every 2 weeks) I have $50 taken out for Social Security. That's as much as I have taken out for Federal and State combined! It's just funny that I have to live on mac & cheese so some old geezer can sit on his bum, not to mention the chances of me seeing a dime from social security is essentially no chance at all. Thoughts?

To me, it's the single most infuriating thing in the world. Why would you pay $40,$60, $80, $100 to have a conversations?!?! Thoughts? Experiences? Opinions?
