Can different weightlifting 'angles' really influence which region of a given muscle develops?
To clarify: some people claim that the Decline Bench Press will help fill out the bottom area of the chest, and that the Incline over time will fill out the 'upper' area of the chest, and that Flies fill out the inner pecs, helping to establish that coveted inner 'crease'.
Is there any truth to this claim? I keep getting conflicting answers from people who claim to be experts; some say it's genetic, that the pattern of the 'filling out' of the chest can vary from person to person, while others claim that different angles of resistance target different regions of the muscle, thereby influencing gains in said targeted regions.

The disney cruise website is a joke. I would appreciate real info from real people. Thanks.
5 AnswersCruise Travel1 decade agoWill Amy Winehouse's voice never be the same?
She was recently released from a hospital after showing "symptoms that could lead to emphysema," whatever that means (AP). Wouldn't that mean that her lung capacity and perhaps larynx are in jeopardy?
2 AnswersRespiratory Diseases1 decade agoDo you think the NFL should shorten the Superbowl halftime?
The Superbowl halftime is 30 minutes long-- twice as long as the halftime would be in any other game-- and this is done purely for commercialistic and showboating purposes. Also, the players are getting more rest than they would during a normal game.
Does this not do a disservice to teams with
a) superior stamina and endurance (teams that can rebound and recharge more quickly at the half)?
b) superior intelligence (teams that can more quickly identify the adjustments they need to make for the second half)?
Please evaluate this question in terms of the SPORT, e.g., don't answer with "The halftime show makes up for it," or "I need the extra time to make cheese dip and take a dump."
9 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoHow can I treat my swollen neck?
I guess I must have been hit in the neck playing backyard football yesterday, though I apparently did not realize it (or didn't think enough *of it* to remember it) at the time.
Weirdly, the swelling is on both the left and right sides of the frontal region of my neck, right between my adam's apple (which is NOT swollen) and my pulses on each side. The soreness isn't overwhelming, but it is annoying and a little stiffening.
Ice didn't seem to help at all, strangely, as it does with most swelling episodes.
9 AnswersInjuries1 decade agoHow do I turn off the stupid info bar at the top of the IE7 browser WITHOUT changing my security settings?
The info bar reads, "Your current security settings put your computer at risk. Click here to change your settings." I am smart enough to keep my computer secure without Microsoft's annoying reccommendations, and in fact I need my settings the way they are. I find it despicable on Microsoft's part that they didn't offer an easy option to turn that garbage off.
