  • When will start hearing the question: "Is Albert Pujols the best ever?"?

In 8 seasons, these are Pujols' stats:

    1239 games played, 947 runs, 342 doubles, 319 HR, 977 RBI, .334 (!) average, .425 OBP, .624 SLG, 1.049 OPS.

He is also the only player to start his career with 8 straight years of at least 30 HR, 100 RBI, 99 R and a .300 Avg.

So how come we don't hear the "is he the best ever" questions. I'm sure that Griffey and Rodriguez were hearing that after their first 8 years.

  • Is Dave Grohl the perfect rock star?

When I see footage of Grohl offstage, he seems like a pretty down-to-earth, easy going guy, but when he's performing he turns into the perfect rock star. If you doubt me, find some footage of the Foos performing. The guy is pure rock and roll energy.

  • What is the worst book you've ever read? And who is the worst writer?

I've read some pretty crappy books, but A Bend in the Road by Nicholas Sparks is one of the worst. I saw every plot development well before it was revealed in the book, the writing was trite and boring, in short I figure Sparks owes me about 4 hours of my life back since that's how long it took me to get through the book.

  • Was this a good Fantasy Baseball trade?

I had (and still have) a wealth of everyday talent, and needed pitching badly. The trade was:

    I give

    Mark Teixeira

    Corey Hart

    Tim Wakefield

    I get:

    Carlos Delgado

Paul Konerko (I know, I already dropped him for Alex Gordon)

    Ryan Dempster

I also have David Ortiz, Casey Kotchman, Troy Glaus, Jose Reyes, Dan Uggla, Casey Blake, Adam Dunn, Rick Ankiel, Garrett Anderson, and Alex Gordon, so like I said I am loaded with position players.

I think it was worth it since I needed the pitching badly and the guy I traded to is several places behind me in the standings and even with the upgrades in hart and Teixeira not likely to challenge for a playoff spot.

  • Why do they keep making Mummy movies?

Those movies suck so bad I can't think of the words to describe them, and Brendan Frasier is a terrible actor. Why must Hollywood constantly crank out such crap? For that matter, why are the Wayans brothers allowed to continue making movies? All the Scary Movies, Date Movie, Epic Movie, etc are just total wastes of time and money. BTW, it's not like I've watched all of these movies- I've seen a couple of them and parts of enough of the others to know that they all suck. Please make it stop.

  • Why does Richie Sexson still have an every day job?

I'm sure Sexson is a nice guy, and I understand that he is making an insane amount of money, but the guy is hitting .215 with 10 hrs and 27 rbi. He isn't hitting worth a damn and then he gets pulled late in close games for a defensive replacement (and here I always thought that poor defensive first basemen only got on the field if they were producing at the plate). In todays game Detroit walked Beltre intentionally twice to get to Sexson and Sexson didn't come close to making them pay for it- this in a 1-1 game that didn't end until the 14th inning. He's going to get paid no matter if he plays or not, so why not leave him on the bench and put a youngster out there?

  • What's the best way to clear weeds and grass from a garden?

I have a small area behind my condo (approx. 6'x6') that has bee over grown with dandelions and grass mostly. I have been able to remove most of the vegetation, but many of the weeds had grown very large and the roots broke off in the ground. If I cover the whole area with fertilizter and top soil, will the invasive plants just grow right back or will they die without sunlight?

  • Is anyone else getting tired of Ozzie Guillen's act?

Guillen has had a number of obnoxious outbursts over the past few years. He speaks his mind, which is fine, but he often says things that hurt more than they help. As an example, after today's game, he said of Jim Edmonds, who had just hit 2 homeruns in one inning as the Cubs battered the Sox for 9 runs in one inning and won the game 11-7, "He just had a good day. I'm not going to promote the guy who's hitting .218...Jim doesn't scare me. I'll pitch to him any time." As it turns out, Guillen was off by 20 points on Edmonds' batting average (it is currently at .238), and apparently Guillen is not aware that Edmonds is hitting a very respectable .300 as a Cub (21 for 70 since joining the team). If Guillen is such a great manager, shoudn't he be aware of things like that?

  • Does anyone have any links to concrete evidence that any online poker sites are fixed?

I saw that Ultimate Bet had a scandal when a consultant exposed a weakness in their security (although since he was an insider, it was a lot easier for him to do what he did than it would be for a hacker to get into their server, at least I hope that's the case!). I have been playing mostly on Poker Stars, and I've gotten used to the fact that there are a LOT of idiot donkeys who play a lot of bad hands and they are bound to get lucky from time to time, but I have had periods when I am losing hand after hand after hand when I am a solid to huge favorite. I don't mean I have the better half of a coin flip (although I have lost a statistically improbable number of those too) and I lose, but I'm talking about hands where I'm a huge favorite and then the other guy hits a 2 or 3 outer. Is it just normal run of bad luck or is the site not on the level?

  • Anyone else bothered by people praying at the poker table?

I was just watching a replay of the final table at this year's main event, and they got to a hand with Jerry Yang heads up against Lee Watkinson. Yang had Ace-9 against Ace-7. Yang started with his "I know you have a purpose for me lord. In Jesus name, let me win" rap while in the crowd, one of Watkinson's relatives (sister?) was calling out "make Lee a believer Lord". First of all, I am pretty sure that most religions, and certainly christianity, take a dim view of gambling, and secondly, I've never believed that god (if he even exists- I'm agnostic) takes much interest in sporting events and gambling and the like. I mean, what if both players are devout? Then god REALLY has to pick a side.

I understand that Yang is a very compassionate man who plans to using his winnings to help people, so I am not questioning his faith, I just think it's silly to pray at the table.

  • How is Annika Sorenstam doing theses days?

  • What do you think about Chad Johnson going to San Diego?

I have always liked Ocho Cinco, but I can't figure out what he's so upset about now. I can see being frustrated that Cincy hasn't really gotten any better since he got there, but why not keep things behind closed doors and not alienate everyone?

Having said that, consider this, Charger fans: Chad Johnson and Vincent Jackson going downfield, Chris Chambers and Antonio Gates over the middle, LT always available as an outlet. Think that might help the passing game a little? San Diego has 12 games against teams with top 10 ranked pass defense last year. Of course, 4 of those games are against Denver and Oakland, and even with those strong pass Ds, the Chargers went 4-0 with a combined score of 122-37 in those games, so maybe it's not a concern.

  • Hey fantasy football geeks: what would you do drafting 13th in a 14 team league?

I can't decide if I should go rb-rb with my first two picks or rb-wr. If there is a rb I feel really strongly about there for me at my second pick I will take them, but by the time the pick comes to me again the top wrs will be gone. I think I can get two pretty good wrs with my 3rd and 4th picks, and would feel pretty good about 2 strong backs and 2 strong receivers in my first 4 picks. If I wait for the third round to get a second rb the pickin's will be very slim. It's a tough league with lots of savvy players.

  • Does anyone know what Mitt Romney really stands for?

Romney had a question on Yahoo answers and it was so typical of a politician- using words like "growth" and "innovation"and "ease the burden on families" but not really provoking any real discussion about anything important- that it got me to thinking about what he was really all about. He has flipped on a number of issues to appear like a better choice to conservatives (abortion rights, gun control, gay marriage for example). He recently joined the NRA as a Best Friends Forever and Ever member and is trying to convince people that he has hunted his whole life when it appears that he has hunted twice- when he was a kid and again about a year ago. I'm not saying it's a bad thing that guys like Bush and Romney and Guliani don't follow through on their promises to the far right after they get elected- most of these things are things I oppose anyway- why does the far right keep folling for it?

  • Re: NBA vs NCAA- which is better?

I saw this question asked and it was resolved before I had a chance to put in my 2 cents. My opinion is, I'll watch college ball all day before I spend a minute watching NBA ball. There are a number of reasons that I like NCAA ball better than NBA ball, but it really boils down to one thing for me: in the NCAA, far more often than not, if one team outplays the other, that team will win. On rare occasions there is some obviously biased officiating, and in those cases you sometimes get an NBA-style result, where a team gets thouroughly outplayed but wins because they shoot a lot of free throws. In contrast, every NBA game has poor officiating, and it's not because the refs are biased, but rather that the league wants it that way: the superstars must be allowed to play their game without interference. Everyone in the league is playing the same game, so why do we hear "Oh, a rookie can't expect to get that call against a superstar". Why not? Aren't they playing the same game?

  • How do I import music to my E drive without having it duplicated on my C drive?

I bought an external hard drive specifically for storing music and photos on so those things wouldn't eat up all of my storage, but when I import songs they are stored in the My Music folder on my C drive. I only want the files stored on my E drive; that's why I bought it.
