Do I have Peter Pan syndrome?
I am a 47 year old divorced mom who plays video games, follows the Comicons (when possible), and loves action movies. I take a PSP to work, and can discuss comic books with the best of them! I don't date much because most of the guys my age are not into my interests. Is something wrong with me?
2 AnswersSpecial Education9 years agoI am a woman over 40. I am also plus-sized, and comfortable with my life.?
I have had many friends try to talk me into dating again. I went through a divorce two years ago; I am rebuilding my life, as well as getting ready to "empty nest" in the next three years. Is it normal to not be bothered right now (working on life after a divorce and a foreclosure), as well as enjoying being alone? I like the fact that I don't have to share the remote, clean up after a partner, go where I want, and eat what I want, when I want. I am also working on bettering my financial and home situation, as well as my physical appearance (starting to exercise, getting dental work, etc.). Any thoughts?
2 AnswersSingles & Dating10 years agoDo you have any legal rights if your landlord won't get rid of bedbugs?
I moved into an apartment over a year ago. We discovered our neighbors next door brought a "gift" to the units...bedbugs! I have had to throw out and re-purchase furniture, and the landlord has only sprayed once, given ME the chemicals to spray when I complained, then taken them away to spray other units. He has also lied about how often to use them (and I suspect, spraying for other pest control problems). Because I lived through a divorce and foreclosure in the last two years, most apartment complexes in Baton Rouge, LA won't lease to my family. My children and I are suffering, and feeling trapped. When I called the Section 8 program to leave this hideous situation, they said they are NOT accepting applications. I work two jobs, and am not rich. What can I do?
2 AnswersLaw & Ethics10 years agoHow to date at my particular age...?
I am a forty-five year old woman who is dating again for the first time in nineteen years! I am noticing that online men my age are looking for someone half my age, as well as really shallow. Any suggestions for a fun, feisty woman who is a video gamer, a traveler, and a really cute and fun person? Most of the men a little older than me are really boring, and frankly, a little staid. I don't really want to "cougar" up, but any suggestions?

What do you do when your husband of sixteen years fathers a now seven month old child with another woman, has ANOTHER girlfriend that he is now semi-living with, and is not paying child support to you for the three you had with him? I have talked to an attorney (I live in Louisiana), and I am getting told that I cannot get a "quickie" divorce. He is ruining my credit (left the kids and I in a house about to foreclose), and I am about to be homeless and stuck. Help!
12 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoHow do I keep from falling apart over this?
I discovered that my husband had fathered a now three-month old child with another woman. I have put him out, and am waiting for the six month period to file for divorce, per a separation. HE dated this girl; HE has been there for her. Why is he mad at me and the children, now that he has what he wanted (he told her he was divorcing me, and that we were not together. I didn't know he felt that way when he was telling me he loved me and having unprotected sex with me!). How do I deal with the hurt, pain, and fallout with this?
8 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoWe frantically need help...?
My husband and I are trying to get our credit together to purchase a home. We are under 600 with our FICO score, the home we're in is in a bad neighborhood (as well as old--with mold concerns), because our home is aging our utility bills are approaching $1,000 a month, our children need better, we BOTH work hard, and don't have $10,000 to $20,000 downpayment money. We are getting desperate (we just discovered we live next to an active drug house), and we don't know what to do next. Can anyone (especially in south Louisiana) help our situation?
7 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoWhat options are out there for first time home buyers, regarding downpayment help?
My husband and I are first-time home buyers, who need credit and downpayment assistance. Where we live is now medically unsuitable for myself and my children (old house, mold and dust issues), and we both work two jobs. However, we can't seem to make the $10,000 to $30,000 downpayment required for many home loans. Help!!
