Here's some questions I've read. "What disorder do gays suffer from?" "If being a *** is ok because animals do it, shouldn't RAPE be ok because animals do that too?" "What do you think of gay/trans people? ARE THEY REALLY PEOPLE?" "Can a father have sex with his daughter?" "I had a dream I was a pickle, does that make me gay?" like omg why do people feel it's necessary to say things like that? Was this section always like this?

I've known for a couple of months that I'm ftm transgender. I'm out to all my friends and their families, but not my own. Does anyone have any tips or stories of how they came out? I want to do it soon because I can't stand the dysphoria I feel from the constant misgendering, but at the same time I want to wait because my mom will tell me I'm "too young to know" and my younger siblings might not understand.

I was looking in my school boards transgender policies and they repeatedly used the phrase "asserted gender identity". I tried looking it up but no where explains it.
