I have an HP envy and whenever its connected to the internet, the keyboard stops working and it acts like its stuck on the slash key and i cant get to any menus!

Ive run a few malware checks and got rid of a virus but its still happening. Im on windows 8

I have an HP Envy laptop. I have restored/restarted the system, removed and cleaned the keys, scanned for viruses but nothing works. It is incredibly frustrating as it types /////////////////////, and no keys work. I cant barely get to settings or move around at all. The trackpad doesn't work either, but I have an external mouse. I have not spilled anything on it or anything and its only about a month old. Is there a way to reset the connection maybe? Please help I'm on the verge of a mental breakdown.
