B series engine problem?
Hey guys I finished a b18 build and 90% of everything is new or rebuilt
I started it up today whala it ran beautiful but once it heated up it lopes??? It's not a vac issue or the coolant needing to be bled someone told me it could be an iac issue? How would I check that or anything else you guys have ran into would help engines are no issue sensors are another story.....

Hey guys normally i run like a 5w30with a lucas additive to prevent dry starts in the upper end you know the stuff now after a complete rebuild thats more power oriented in my 4.6 im thinking of running synthetic everyone at my local track prases it the royal purple and AMSOIL adds are very convincing is this the stuff to go with? i dont want to pour the 1.99 a qt walmart oil in a 4k rebuild i want the best quality oil for a street setup not daily driver ????? any sugestions?

hey guys back again heres the deal after a recent pi swap i decided i should get a tune now any other time with headers or an intake ect. its not an issue but i do really need to get the car properly tuned to understand the new flow and ext readings now.... the only place i can find charges 650.00 + 120.00 hr thats almost a grand but... i could get an SCT tuner for 1/2 the price but im not shure if i could get it set up as well as the dyno guys lol s..so whats up should i bite the bullit and get a proper tune or will an SCT or Diablo tune do the job

OK guys, heres just a few questions i have on raising compression and its affects. Its ok if not all my questions are answered but if you know something what little you have will go a long way.Ive got a mustang im swapping heads on it raises the compression from (i think) 10-1 to 12-1 now besides the regular gaskets and seals are these a good idea
1)Upgraded valves more heat resistant so the intake strokes not compromised by the Exh valve heat
2)bigger fuel delivery system ive seen some posts but im not shure the induction system is flowing 100% better than stock but i need to know before i go spending cash on something the stock fuel delivery system can keep up with..
3) lower temp thermostat i read the cooler you keep the higher compressin engine the better like all engines but especially for them?
4) Higher octane fuel? to reduce knock and pinging?
5) Hotter ignition? upgrades all around ive read it but every guys happy to buy parts just to buy em
And last perhapse the lynchpin i know raising the compression on a stock block is a huge demand do you think the rings and all else will last ?????

Whel , I’ve got a 91 integra with a 1.8l d.o.h.c . engine ive been having some issues latley maybe you guys can shed some light i recently installed a new head gasket and distributor all of it went together perfactly EVERYTHING is in its proper place, timed correctly, plenty of spark, 100% on, however it wont start it is getting completely flooded out its feeding improperly im guessing, i checked the srvc manual with what little info it provided and the fpr is good and also the harnesses to the inj. are working as they should the relay under the steering column clicks on so wtf perhapse a stuck inj.? some sort of other relay? any advice at this point is good the srvc manual is very vauge and only can trouble shoot off the OBD 1 blinks but I don’t have a check engine light on. .....? thanks guys

Let me open by first saying Im no stranger to a rebuild ive done countless 302s and ive done pi work on the 4.6 however im a stranger to the bottom end and im looking for some experianced help not links! 1; The bottom end is typical std, ? nothing special I need to know, im just freshaning it up 2: and every engine bottom end has its faults weather its rods or certain breaking points does the 4.6 suffer from any bottom end issues? Fyi its not going to be a forced induction runner....

Hey guys I currently have a 96 gt sohc now I have a set of longtubes for it but I just finished building up the 00 sohc heads will the old headers fit on those new ones I know the manafold is diffrent but....do I have to sell the old headers and blow 400 on new ones........ question two with the new pi heads off a doner 00 gt di I have to dyno and tune it I mean will it run ok without a test tune or due the the increse in flow its imperitive.....? Thanks

Hey guys latley I've been thinking of swapping out my wimpy 4.6 96sohc for a little more displacement Hense the 5.4 and following up a rebuild a scharger now has anyone heard of a swap of this type I know what has to be redone to. Accomadate it but any ideas will it fit? And is it a wortwile idea I mean some 5.4 years are pulling twice the power of the 4.6 any help guys wisdom thanks...

Hey guys the 4.6l is a pain to get to I have to remove the exh. Manifold. To put on my long tubes but its very tough to get to I guess you can lift the engine but id see if anyone has any tricks or help appreciate it guys....

Ok I asked a simalar question before , ive got a 94 4runner ive got no spark and no fuel.... I thought id tackle one first so I went to the junkyard and picked up a new mafs as I read these things are the first to go.. Oh a coil and an igniter at the parts store I got cap rotor plugs ect. ect. So I checked and still no spark than fuses and wires and links but than I thought no fuel or spark its an obd1 but hey maybe that could have f'ed up... So what im asking you almighty answerers of questions ... What could it be a computer something ive overlooked maybe its happened to you but im running short of ideas help out guys,

Ok, working on cars is nothing new but I have a first time problem I recemtly got a flat fighting the mustang to the side of the road I noticed a broken tierod once home I noticed the rod end came or poped out of the steering rack now the tierod end has a ball and the rack has a cup with a nut at the end can this be saftey re joined the rod into the rack or does it need to be replaced the steering rack? The ball and cup have no damage besides them comig unattached so whats the prognosis????

Hey guys when I bought my 96 gt boy it rolled but I ended putting on a 3 drop gas shocks springs sways you name it NOW she still rolls out of cornering kinda sloppy ive been told a strul brace might help bc mine didnt come with now is this true I know they work but its stilll a big heavy sports car any advice or tips thanks

Ok heres the 5.0 bigger heads huge box intake. A couple of bolt-ons and bam 350hp ive got a 96gt with a 2v romeo so now I want to build it a bit more than it is. ok, lets buy an intake manifold I cant what about heads nope if I want heads I have to buy ported pi heads for a 99 that are crazy expensive from patriot mount it to mine than buy some more parts and manifold just to crank a little more power. Man its a powerful engine for what it is but finding parts for this 94-98 is impossible any advice on stuff you guys found or tricks thanks

For some reason my mustang 96 4.6 pushes out gray smoke thin and not for long its like 10 minutes after ignition it comes out of one pipe I say this only bc I dont have a crossover pipe its header to tail so obviously its on one side of the engine but it runs great with no problems it doesnt happen alot but it concerns me please help.

Ok first I bought a 95 3.0yota 4runner week ago, yesterday driving just fine than brrrrrrr, the engine cut off I had it towed back to my plce after putting in gas than killing the battery, today I went out put in 2gals primed it by off on just incase I ran it dry nada starting spray nothing any ideas might be timing belt fuel pump even tho its no responding to spray any ideas

Ok so I bought a 96 4.6l gt stang from this guy who did a little work to the engine underdrive intake bigger mafs matched 90mill throttle body and a 255lph pump ok so here is my question it came with a full zex nos kit routed lines a regulator bottle the works now is it smart to give it a 100shot thru the lines or isnt it ive always gone super charger this is new to me and this hastey hp gain worries me on an engine with stock internals......so is it safe to use or should I just keep it all hooked up.? Thanks

Ive got a 96 4.6l dohc mustang gt 5 spd w/ throttle body intake full headder back exh msd coils and wires , now here it is squirm....will it beat a trans am stock of the same era,? And dont say yes only because your not a ford guy I need honest answers thanks

Whats a good figure hp wise for an amped up 4.6 just a sohc ugh... I know but what can I expect without major internal work....? Im talking coils heads whatever might push it im a 302 guy so a 4.6 is like a puzle.... Thanks
