  • Figure 8 again.. my horse is trained?

ok my horse is trained , we do take lesson. one thing my trainer wanted me to do was research bridles, I have been told a figure 8 can control speed, I'm not an idiot I don't think it's a fix all or magic, just an aid. so don't tell me a I need lessons or a trained horse,

if the horse is avoiding the bit, it's also avoiding control so? and if I can't get help from the bridle are there any bit recomadations?

  • Figure 8 bridle for fast horse ?

would a figure 8 bridle help my horse? he hardly rushes the jump but he's all around to fast even for jumpers! in a line he jumps the first jumps but races to the next and races after, he's just to fast lol, and yes I do grids and trot fences and it helps but I want to know if a figure eight would help still? also how to fit? and should I still use a snaffle? thanks!

  • Keeping a horse amused in stall?

so I'm moving barn and my horse will be in from like 4 in the afternoon till 8 in the morning and then pastured during the day, anyway he is an obsessive cribber and yes I'm going to put a cribbing collar on but I also don't want him to be bored ( that's a cause of cribbing for him) so any playful ideas?? I already got a salt block but what else? thanks!!:)

  • Fitting a training aid?

ok first off , it's not a jumping trainin fork, or a running martingale MY ONLY QUESTION IS HOW TO FIT IT! How loose or how tight?!?!!!

    http://www.sstack.com/martingales/premier-training...

THE RINGS ARE NOT LOOSE its one circle of leather that raps around the horses neck and also attaches to the girth.

also I know how to use it, when I lift my hands or the horse lifts his head it puts pressure on the reins, and he has been in a German martingale before so he kinda gets it, my ONLY QUESTION is how to fit it for a huntseat NON JUMPER arabian

All I need to know is how to fit it!
