We have a Comcast HD box (the silver one) and it has yellow, white, and red component input on the front and the back. We can't just plug the Wii straight into our HDTV because it only has one set of component on the back (the RGB kind, with 5 cords going from the Comcast box to the TV...it didn't come with an HDMI cord). The only way we can do it right now is to unplug the Comcast box from the TV and plug the Wii directly into the TV, but I feel like there ought to be a way to do it through the Comcast box. Comcast said that it's not possible, and when I tried, I couldn't figure out how to change the source on the Comcast box (the TV/VCR source switch button on the remote didn't do anything). Ideas?

My phone is a Virgin Mobile USA no-contract phone, and I am traveling to Peru this summer for a month. Does anybody know if I can call the US from Peru on my phone?

I just installed Windows 7 yesterday, and everything went great, but something weird happened. The light on my laptop that indicates whether I have my wireless internet turned on or not is backwards! It's on when the wireless is off, and it's off when the wireless is on. Does anyone know how to switch that? I have an Acer Extensa 4420 with Windows 7.

I know this question gets asked a lot, but my situation is a bit different. I now that my battery is still good--in fact, I just used it today. Its life is only about an hour and a half, but it's still good. Then, I plugged my laptop in when I got back from class, and it just says, "17% available (plugged in, not charging). This happened the other day, but when I turned down the power settings to Power Saver, it started charging again. It won't even charge when I shut it down now! It still runs on AC power, so I know it's not the jack, and I know the battery's still good. Did some setting get changed?

By the way, I have an Acer Extensa 4420 running Windows Vista 32-bit, SP 2. Oh and I just installed SP 2 yesterday, maybe that has something to do with it. . .

I am working at a summer camp, and we are having issues rigging our 1985 Zuma sailboat. I think we're missing the mainsheet rope, which is part of the problem. We got the boom and mast put together, and the sail was already on the mast, but we can't figure out how to attach the sail to the boom or how to raise and lower the sail. Does anybody have a link to an owner's manual or something?

I am thinking about getting an iPhone, and I want to know if I can purchase it and use it and the wi-fi Internet without cell phone service with the plan to get cell phone service later. Or maybe I should just get an iPod Touch. . .?

I just got contacts for the first time yesterday, and they were fine for a few hours but then my vision started getting blurry for things from mid-distance to far away. Sometimes my vision is clear for about 10 minutes, and then it starts to get blurry again. My vision was fine at the doctor with them in--20/20 in my right and a little better than 20/20 in my left. I have a little astigmatism, but I got the regular (spherical) contacts anyway because toric lenses are so expensive. I saw some other postings about having dry contacts, but they don't feel dry. However, my doctor didn't give me any moisturizing solution, (just an H2O2 cleaning solution, called Clean Care) and since I'm just trying them for a week to see if they'll work, I don't want to by any yet. Is this just temporary or will spherical lenses not work for my eyes because of astigmatism? Will rinsing them with water take care of the blurriness?

I have a Sony Handycam Hi8 camcorder, and I'm trying to use the EasyCAP to put my videos onto my computer. I keep seeing other entries on forums and Yahoo Answers about how people are able to use it not only with DV cameras but also Hi8, which is what I have...but the software says that there is no image when I hit "capture". I have my camera in Playback mode, NTSC, the right cords in the right places. . .what else is wrong?

I have an Acer Extensa 4420, and the DVD/CD drive says on the side, "RW", "DVD+R DL", "DVD", and "Multi Recorder". I know what all of those mean. However, when I try to use a DVD+R (either blank or with something on it), my drive won't read it! I'm confused as to why it says it will take dual-layer DVD+R's but it won't take single-layer DVD+R's. I haven't tested DVD-R yet, but maybe that will work. Any explanation as to why this is?

I'm doing the summer homework for my AP Calculus AB/BC class, and the homework is review of all that we did in Pre-Calculus. But I can't remember this one.

Factor: 12xy+8by+9ax+6ab. The website that the problems are on has the answers, but I want to know how to do it. I was looking at the answers to other problems to see what they looked like so that I could figure it out, so I forgot to write down the answer to this one. . .and it's a random-number generator for the problems, so I'll never be able to find it again.

Can you please show me how to solve it?

I'm trying to get my laptop set up on a wireless local network with my PC so that I can use the PC's printer to print from my laptop wirelessly. I have a wireless/wired router, and I got it set up, but my computer won't connect to it after I created a WEP key; instead of telling me to enter the key, my computer just tells me that it was unable to connect possible because of a time-out. Here is what I want: my laptop- - - - -router------DSL modem-----PC----printer.

Any help?
