What are your score predictions for the 4 Classicos i.e. Barcelona v Madrid matches that are coming up?
and before any body says otherwise let's be real about it - both Barca and Madrid will be playing each other in the ECL Semis 'cos Tottenham and Shaktar aren't going to overturn those results
3 AnswersUEFA Champions League1 decade agoArsenal, Chelsea...they all blame the ref don't they?!?
Why?
Arsenal attempts = 0
Barca = 19
Arsenal on Target = 0
Barca = 10
Van Persie sent off unfairly? How about Messi's denied pens in both legs?
Busquet's gifted a goal to Arsenal too eh?
It's all in the mix but at the end of the day the stats say it all -
Arsenal weren't good enough.
Adios amigos
Simples ;-)
11 AnswersUEFA Champions League1 decade agoDo Instant Coffee or Tea Bags go out of date?
I know there are use by dates on the packaging but would it matter if you drank these products after the expiry date and how long would you go past the expiry? After all Tea and Coffee are both dried leaves/beans so would they actually go off?
3 AnswersNon-Alcoholic Drinks1 decade agoAdvice on High Cholesterol please?
I recently discovered my family has a history of high cholesterol and after getting mine checked my level was 8.3. The doctor has put me on 40mg Simvastatins and gave me a crash course diet advice i.e. don't eat animal fats and eat lots of whole grain and veg but I don't have an appointment with the dietician until the beginning of November so it's been a bit hard to know exactly what I should be doing.
I've immediately cut out things like cheese, fatty foods, red meat and treats like chocolate, biscuits cakes etc... and I've been really good with eating plenty of fruit, veg, rice, brown bread etc... but at the same time I'm a bit concerned that I'm perhaps taking it a bit extreme. Some people say I should still eat some cheese as there are other nutrients like calcium in it and on the whole I'm getting a bit depressed with not having any treats so I'm wondering if I should have a reward once a week on the weekend without binging or if that would just undo all the hard work in the week? Some one else who has high cholesterol said they don't eat much fruit as there is a lot of sugar in fruit which is bad for you and I was gutted as I'd been making a massive effort eating 5 or 6 portions a day when I previously ate hardly any fruit & veg! I drink tea & coffee and I have semi-skimmed milk and I'm wondering if that's ok as milk has fat in it? I tried skimmed milk and that's ok but it is watery and I just couldn't get on with Soya! I substituted sugar for sweetner but then someone else said that sweetner is all chemical and I'd be better sticking with sugar as at least it's natural!
ARRRGH I'm so confused so please help me for 10 points!!!!
Thanks
7 AnswersHeart Diseases1 decade agoWhat do you recommend for a trip to Barcelona?
I'm going this coming weekend for a footie match and I'd like to take some more of the city in whilst I'm there. I've done some research and have the usual spots listed to look at but I'd like to know of any little hidden gems or places you've been that you reckon are worth a look. Also any other tips will be gratefully received. 10 points for best answer on this one.
6 AnswersOther - Spain1 decade agoWill El Classico in La Liga lose some of it's rivalry now that Spain have won the World Cup?
It was interesting to see Puyol and Casillas crying as they embraced having won the World Cup and it made me wonder if this generation can now really speak of such a fierce rivalry in La Liga between Barca and Madrid anymore? This current Spain squad is mostly made up by these two teams who have had to work together so very hard. I know Puyol & Casillas have always been International team mates but this win will surely make a bond now between the Barca and Madrid players that hasn't been known before and I wonder how this will affect El Classico - will these same players care so much about that now given that they've just won the biggest football prize working together?
2 AnswersFIFA World Cup (TM)1 decade agoDo we want Slovenia to beat USA?
I'm thinking that the match is before ours on Friday and if that were to happen we'd go into second place with a win against Algeria and then only need a draw against Slovenia to progress out of the group. It might even mean Slovenia would happily play out a draw with us too as they'd be guaranteed to go through.
Alternative is that if USA beat Slovenia and we still beat Algeria then it becomes a 3 horse race putting more pressure on both us and Slovania to get a win in the last game.
What do you think?
17 AnswersFIFA World Cup (TM)1 decade agoWhy have Fifa got USA as second place in the Group - Should be England?
Goal difference is obviously the same at the moment but USA got 3 yellow cards to England's 2. Slovenia have just won so they go top with Algeria bottom, England secon place and USA 3rd.
3 AnswersFIFA World Cup (TM)1 decade agoIs the Barclays Premiership actually the Best in the world?
I keep hearing all the time (in England by the English anyway) that the Prem is the best and finest league. That it's supposedly where all the best players want to play. But I'm not convinced.
I never hear anyone actually give a reason or several reasons as to why the Prem is superior to Seri A or La Liga. I never hear anyone give hard and solid factual backing to these bold statements that English club football is the highest calibre.
How do we measure the Prem against other Leagues?
How do we know which League grows and produces the best teams?
How do we evidence these claims?
If it is the best league then fair enough but please convince me because I have been researching and I have a lot of information that says otherwise.
Lets have some intelligent discussions and no morans with answers that just don't have any substance please.

3 AnswersUEFA Champions League1 decade agoDo Real actually go top with a 1-0 win?
If Real beat Valladolid 1-0 then points and goal difference will be the same as Barca however Barca beat Real on the head to head which is what counts in Spain in these instances so how come the commentators say Real would go top with any win?
