  • Guy's perspective on his behavior?

This has bothered me for a while because it doesn't make sense to me and I thought the opposite sex may shed a little light on what my female brain can't see. I has this friend once that I had unrequited feelings for. He asserted that he had "no romantic feelings whatsoever" for me yet on a regular basis he would be affectionate towards me in ways that I crossed the line of platonic friendship (taking initiative to cuddle while watching a movie, brushing back my hair, sitting me on his lap, etc. It's not like he just wanted to get to fourth base and use me as he always apologized after some of these incidents for leading me on. But then what would make him act like this? I'm sure someone will say "he's just a guy" but to me it seems that especially if anyone has close friendship, as we had, with someone they behave intimately with there must be some kind of underlying feelings involved. What do you think?

  • Would This Be Weird? (Short)?

I'm taking a speech class and have decided to not make a speech next week but I feel bad just skipping the class and am interested to hear classmates speeches. Would it be weird to just show up and listen. I'm worried someone might notice I didn't go up and think "what a weirdo, why are they here?"

  • does anyone feel like I do about "thank you"?

I think thank you is used way too much. It seems like people use it for letting them breathe around you or for other minor things like asking a question, handing them something from the printer within arms reach or moving because they need to get to something. It totally downplays the value for when you really need to thank someone for something like a thoughtful gift or doing a favor and I'm just sick of hearing it, anyone else feel like this?

  • I'm a girl with a guy type voice?

I've never been in a relationship before and wonder if my voice has a big part to play? I have a voice that I think is indentifably female but It's the deepest I've heard for a girl. I'm tired of being called sir on the phone all the time and have been mocked my entire life. Am I doomed to die alone? My parents and friends think it's not bad at all and I'm exaggerating while it's all others seem to be able to concentrate on about me.

  • Calling all Engineering majors!?

I'm looking into getting my Bachelors degree and am considering engineering as a major. What excatly are my job prospects with the degree? Can I apply for internships during school? Has anyone had a very difficult time getting a decent job (directly or not directly related to the field) after graduating? Someone said it's not a good option as it can be outsourced, what do you think? Any input is appreciated.

  • I think I've forever lost my best friend, Opinions Please?

My friend and I are in the same English college class and a couple of months ago we got into a fight about a seat. He said he doesnt want me sitting next to him because it impedes his concentration, but one day when my desk was missing I did anyway because I didnt think it was a big deal. He later yelled at me in the hallway for the whole class to hear and didnt believe my reason for sitting there. He then went home and blocked me on facebook and was ignoring me at next weeks class.

Later that week I asked him if this fight was going to be over by the next class and didnt get a response. Then I asked for my CD back and still no response. The next day I found the CD in my mailslot. I couldnt believe he was still so mad so I thought the worst and said some things I shouldnt have out of anger. I immediatly relized how stupid I was being and gave him a couple of weeks before trying to apologize. I feel overwhelmed with guilt about my behavior and have tried everything from apologizing to approaching in person, but he acts as if I dont exist.

The class is over now and hes blocked me from everything so all contact with him is gone. I just think hes being really unreasonable and treated as if I murdered his mother or something, he even turned other friends against me. He was my best friend and now hes going to hate me forever and there was nothing I could do. I feel like a failure as a friend...
