  • My Poem Don't cry like it?

    Little darling don’t you cry

I see that teardrop in your eye

    Mommy had to go away

But maybe she’ll come back again someday

Things just happen at our age

And sometimes it’s just a stage

Things that we will soon regret

    But we never will forget

Your mom and I we had a fight

In front of you, it wasn’t right

    So daddy’s staying home today

I just can not, just go away

  • Do you like my Poem My wife the ultimate eater competitor?

While my wife was changing channels

All nice and warm and in her flannels

She wonders what they all are doing

With all those dogs that they are chewing

I told her that the sport is new

But it does draw quite a few

It seems it is the newest craze

I think they starve themselves for days

She says she thinks she wants to try it

But after that, she'll have to diet

I think for all the things she's done

Watching this, should sure be fun

She's warming up, she's up to twenty

If it was me that would be plenty

I think she is a great dog eater

I start to think that none will beat her

Then she got tied at sixty-eight

But she had one more in her plate

    And when she swallowed sixty-nine

Behind me sprung a scary line

But with that she nearly fainted

    Maybe one was kinda tainted

But when they told her she had won

She barfed them up, till there was none

  • Do you like my poem A Leap of Love?

She made a promise to her mother

To learn to dance just like no other

But she could feel it in her vision

To never make one bad decision

You see her mom had done a move so daring

And found the floor was not so sparing

    And now she’s slightly paralyzed

    Her dream is done unrealized

Well as time went by a new contest

Her daughter vowed to be the best

She felt her mother watching her

Praying old events will not occur

But she glided to that very move

And did the leap and found her groove

Then like Fred Astaire did with a broom

She danced the floor and swept that room

Then in her ears there came a roar

The votes were in a perfect score

And to all the others who had tried

With that leap of love they were denied

But a vision seen then was not kept

Her mom forgave her as they wept

They felt their tears, they shared their cries

Her mom had won now through her eyes

    Little darling don’t you cry

I see that teardrop in your eye

    Mommy had to go away

Maybe she’ll come back, again someday

Things just happen at our age

And sometimes its just a stage

    That we sometimes will regret

    But never ever will forget

You know we had a fight

In front of you, it wasn’t right

    So now come closer dear

I’ll wipe away that flowing tear

    Daddy’s staying home today

I just can not, go away

And as she looked up from her place

I saw a smile upon her face

Lets make a plan to spend our day

So hurry up, be on our way

And to the park we will go

To watch the gentle waters flow

We’ll climb a mountain way up high

    Closer to the golden sky

At the top, we’ll make a pack

That once a week, we will come back

It’s you and me together now

We’ll make it through. I know some how

Till mommy knows she shouldn’t flee

Be back with us, and always be

  • Do you like my poem I saw her crying?

I saw her lying in despair

Her face is hidden by her hair

With teardrops flowing from her eyes

I feel her sorrow as she cries

Her pain is pounding deep inside

She wipes those tears she tries to hide

Her life is coming to an end

Her broken heart she can not mend

He told me that I was his life

And that soon I’d be his wife

What kind of man could be that way

To just leave me in disarray

I don’t know what I could have done

He told me now I was no fun

He said the years though have been great

But lately I’ve gained too much weight

So I told her that if she would stand

I would gladly take her by the hand

I’ll show you what this man can do

To help you through and be brand new

I’ll help you to move along

And day by day you will be strong

And in the end I found a way

Together twenty years, since that day

  • the gifted performer?

As I sit here at the bar

While she plays her new guitar

I wonder how she’ll leave this place

Her purse is surely full of mace

She looks at me, and she does say

Can I play your song today

I think it sorta goes likes this

Just give me time to reminisce

Her voice is sharp and crystal clear

The kind you really want to hear

And when that gal begins to wail

She sounds just like a nightingale

She packs the place on Monday night

She spurs the crowd with shear delight

And she really has a look

That you can’t find, in no book

As we dance around those barroom mats

We hold onto our cowboy hats

There’s really nothing more to say

That girl can make you want to stay

  • Comments on my poem, Jack and Jill?

Jack and Jill went up a hill to fetch a pail of water

Things got pretty hot up there and soon they had a daughter

Jill was always telling him that she was on the pill

But she hadn't taken it the night before the hill

Jill's dad got really mad and went to buy a gun

But Jack and Jill had stole his car and the three are on the run

It's getting pretty hard for them no money for the gas

And now he's hearing rumors there's a bounty on his ***

Now Jack is young and full of it so he has no fear

But that could soon be changing with that cop upon his rear

So he yells to Jill to hold on tight as they go down this dip

Then he gave a turn around a curve and gave that cop the slip

Jill yells out that with that move now you don't seem so caring

And you'd better get me somewhere soon, cause she wet what she is wearing

Then Jack yells out that it's her fault, that it has turned to this

Cause she had always promised him that no pill she'd miss

Then Jill told Jack you know us women always want a baby

Jack you never told me no, remember you said maybe

Then Jill told Jack that it is time for both of them to leave

Cause as this child gets older Jack, she looks like your friend Steve

  • My poem, If roses grow in heaven comments?

    If roses grow in heaven

Please lord, send me down eleven

For I have one that I found

That is perfect, nice and round

I found it down this trail

When some birds began to wail

    They were guiding me along

By the rhythm of their song

Well they led me to this spot

Was it fate, or was it not

And I surely had to say

That it was my lucky day

Then I found it near a weed

Where you surely placed the seed

    And from the morning dew

It got its moisture and it grew

But the day was getting late

And I thanked you for my fate

And if in heaven there’s a vase

Can you send it to my place

  • A creepy poem comments?

In the woods I hear beeping

I feel behind me people creeping

Are these people I am feeling

Can they be real or am I dreaming?

So I turn round, and I start staring

But all I see is moonlight glaring

    Then my body slowly quivers

Breaking out, in all out shivers

These strange sounds that I am hearing

Closely by and near that clearing

I hear a howl and then a pause

Just like somehow it had a cause

So I give out an evil blast

For ten seconds it did last

It was like a curling yell

Who evers out there go to hell

Well I can't believe what I am seeing

    A young couple surely fleeing

They are scared much more then me

They left their clothes there on a tree

  • My Poem The gifted young poet comments?

One day I tried to write a song

But all the words they came out wrong

I got so mad I threw my pen

    I don’t know when I’ll try again

I tried so hard some lines to share

But all the words they go no where

Seems all these lines from a thought

To write them down its all for not

Oh what the hell, there’s more to do

For my pen and me, for now we’re through

I’ll go outside, and ride my bike

And to the park and then I’ll hike

And there I found a big rock wall

With scribbles there for one and all

I said some thoughts that kind to mind

Then someone calls me from behind

A kid says if you are a poet

From what I hear no one would know it

So I read his lines as best I could

With misspelled words this kid is good

How could someone half my age

Be that good command a stage

And then he left, as fast he came

Like rhyming words was just a game

I come back every now and then

    Hoping we meet up again

I leave some lines for him to see

He changes them, he sets them free

  • The Underground Railroad comments?

Tice David's a name, you will now know

From Kentucky he tried, to make Ohio

With his Master behind, not loosing site

Just a river to cross, then hide in the night

He then disappeared and no one would tell where

He now smelt how sweet, was freedoms night air

And from that time, his story was told

That somehow he found an underground road

And from that day, a phrase formed their plight

An Under Ground Railroad, was named for that night

These trains had no course or a set track

These parcels just knew, what lies to their back

Now Levi was penned as the rails President

Because 2,000 stayed at his residence

They all had some names for who carried the cause

But they just really cared, that's just what is was

But don't think this train was buried back then

All over this world it is born again

Wherever it's needed these wheels will still role

Some wanted North, and some now want Seoul

  • My wife thinks I cheated?

My wife just came home with a look in her eye

Like if her looks could sure kill, I'll be dead where I lie

She said I've heard rumors about you last night

I really don't know, but her look just aint right

She says I am not stupid because I am blond

I am smart for my years, and probably beyond

Last night you came home and your clothes had a smell

I went drinking with friends, and spilled one oh well

It wasn't the drinking that is making her mad

She talked to a woman who she thinks I had

She said she was there, but her memory has faded

You all did some shots and flirtations were traded

I laughed till I cried when I heard what she said

That got her quite mad with her face now turned red

You think I was there to have an affair

It all came about from a drunken friends dare

One guy offered fifty to see what she'd say

If he could just have her, and have his way

She said he is ugly and thinks he is queer

And said if he wants her, she need more then beer

So he bought the table pitchers and shots

And after some maybes its now turned to nots

Then she said to me I'll give him a chance

If you get on the floor, for just one slow dance

She then suddenly asked if I'd like a feel

I told her my friends think, they can't be real

She then turned to my friends and hollered this out

Just one dollar for feels, to disprove that doubt

Then all through that bar the men got in line

And each one said real, time after time

Well I guess I was tempted but nothing is free

After I lent all my last buck, I had none left for me

  • A lesson from my sister?

When we were so young, and very carefree

We shared all our thoughts, on what we might be

We played make believe with all of our toys

We all had some fun, we were just all young boys

We all played outdoors, we liked the outside

We played hide and seek, be the best one to hide

We played with our bats, until it was fall

Then we traded that game, now its football

Then there was sis, who had a dollhouse

On one rainy day, we stuck in a mouse

We all were so wrong, my sis had no fright

She put her dukes up, she wanted to fight

I hid my forehead, with my baseball cap liner

So no one would know, that she gave me a shiner

Looks are deceiving, I’ve heard them say

It took on more meaning, on that dreary day
