  • Ways to screw with stoners?

As you may know, It's 4/20 tomorrow. I want to screw with anyone in case I catch a whiff. So, does anyone have ideas for minimal-setup pranks?

  • About how long does it take to learn to play the keyboard?

So, I've taken an interest in the keyboard (instrument) lately, and I know I can't take another second of boredom this break. I'm thinking of getting piano lessons (considering that there probably isn't a "keyboard" teacher), and I want to know how long it'll take to learn the essentials (finger positions, how to keep my music fluid, etc.). I figure I can practice on my own when I know what I need to.

The answer probably varies between teachers, so how long did it take for you?

  • What is this wasp species?

Some wasps moved to my house some months ago, and I want to identify at least one of them.

One wasp is either black or a very dark blue with bright orange antennae. I've never gotten close enough to it to explain its body shape.

The other one actually looks alot like a cicada killer, except that it's really fat, and, if I recall correctly, it has white spheres on its antennae.

  • Are frogs really able to shoot their tongues?

I've seen them do it on cartoons and CG commeercials, but all I've seen a real frog do is gobble up a nearby bug feally fast.

  • Laptops and Blank DVDs?

I'm having a little trouble. I'm working on a project that requires me to use a blank DVD, but it doesn't seem to work. I've used it on 2 computers. On one I heard a noise, but I think that happens with every CD, and some still work. They both actually detect it, but at the same time can't seem to recognize that it's in. I'm using a Memorex 8.5 GB. DVD+R DL.

So, is there anything that I can do?

  • What is this game called?

I just remembered a game I played when I was a kid, but I remember its name.

I know that it was on the Game Gear, it was a fighter, and I know that you might compare some of the characters to Power Rangers if you didn't know any better. So, does anyone know?

  • Game design + College = WTF?

I'm hunting for a college that offers game design as a major, but I haven't had much luck. I want to go to a college that doesn't need a commercial, and offers other majors. I want to date an aspiring doctor or something. I want to party with people, mingle, get some ideas. But so far I have to go to freakin' DeVry so my TEACHERS can talk to me (and I rarely need face-to-face lectures). Why haven't the big colleges considered gaming?

But anyways, back to the actual question. Does anyone know a good college (that also doesn't advertise) that offers game design as a major?

  • I've been seeing alot of different wasps lately, what's goin' on?

I've seen things like a huge, extremely dark blue wasp (You'd think it was black if you were far away) with big orange antennae. I also saw one that looked like the Master of all bees, as it's body shared the appearance of one, with what appeared to be 4 or 6 antannae with white bulbs on the tips. Then there was a simple one with lime stripes, And today I just saw one with a freakin' gold face, and some gold on its wings. The rest was black.

I'm not trying to keep them away, I just wanna know why they've been showing up, and maybe get them identified.

I've been trying to learn a little about technology lately, and I wonder if just anyone can make such a chip. Also, how do they make the chips respond to the waves from the remote?

  • Where does the heat go in the winter?

just a little earlier, I was outside, freezing, and I thought back to a lesson that basically said "heat moves to the colder substance". That made me think,"if that's true, where does the heat go in the winter?" I only thought of the Earth's core or the Sun, but why only there? and why at only this time? could it spread among random things around the world, meaning matter and organisms are more abundant at this time? any facts would be appreciated.

  • Thanksgiving is near! But prep leaves me way too hungry....?

I love to get my munch on at Thanksgiving dinner, but I can't eat for a day and a half before then... It's definitely worth the prep time and hunger, but I get so hungry I can't enjoy the holiday. I've tried to sleep, but I'm not a deep sleeper, and I wake up only about a half hour later and I can't sleep again. My mom would feed me a small sample to hold me until dinner, but I don't like to eat any part of the dinner until I'm actually supposed to. I think I might take some Ritz right before the main preparation to hold me over, and still keep the aching hunger (for a shorter time, that is) that drives me to scarf down the meal and stay to enjoy dinner with my family. Do you have any suggestions to help me deal with this? Thanks in advance!
