  • How do you deal with your "know it all" spouse?

I don't think I let it bother me before or I didn't notice how badly my husband needs to be right. It didn't seem as bad before. U can tell hI'm a story about a friend crashing her blue car and being severely hurt and he will say " that car is more green than blue". If Hes on a rant about being right And u prove him Wrong he clams up.. Even if u totally agree with him he will open a book or pull something up on the computer to prove he was right. It's sad kind of. I'm a big believer in the old saying, you can be happy or u can be right. But he drives me nuts sometimes.

  • Am I overreacting? Fiance keeps pushing back wedding?

hope i am not being a bridezilla but i think i am dealing with unreasonable resistance from my guy. My Fiance let me go on making wedding preparations for may 2012 for about 2 months before telling me there was no way it could happen. Budget constraints and $$ priorities. We came into a bit of cash, and came up with a solid savings plan, so were back on track. Another month goes by and planners and party members are pressuring for a date. So i sit down to compromise and he claims he can do no earlier than fall of 2012 (not a compromise this has always been his only date suggestion). This will make a 2 yr engagement!

His reasoning now being he is doing certification for work that leads to a better position. We have known about this all along, this certification was in the works prior to the engagement. he has never before said he absolutely couldnt do anything during his certification period. It takes place during his regular work day (m-f)and requires 6 day trips.

The major problem for me is starting a career and adding to our family. I am in an ok job with great job security however it is not in my field. We plan on another child (first is not his) immediately and I cant very well start a job in my field knocked up. Or get knocked up within a couple of months of starting a new job, i think that is unwise and unprofessional. So he expects me to spend 3 yrs in a dead end job (for me anyway) because he doesnt feel like multi tasking. I brought up i worked 2 jobs and awent to school and raised a 3 yr old, I have faith in him. All he could say was hes not as strong as me.

I hope i am not being selfish, i would never interfere with his job, but most of the planning would be done prior to him starting the certification. I think its kind of crazy he cant attend a few appointments to make everything kosher. Im totally willing to push it back, i just think pusing it back 6 months is a bit much when were already giving it over a year.

I am furious, saddened, and basically crushed. Id rather go to the justice of the peace at this point.

Im starting to think this is not what he wants.

  • should i give my childs father % of tax money?

    Some background:

he got physical, police involved we split. Slight harrassment in the beginnign of breakup but no incident in the past 3 yrs. The past 2 yrs his return was taken b/c of owed support..OWED TO ME. This past yr no issues support on time, no arugments. Rarely an issue. His parents are psychos they tried to take custody and were filing fals cps reports on me. But he had nothing to do with that. They gave me the cps reports and he actually DEFENDED me against the allegations!

He pays for afternoon child care and i was thinking of giving him the child care credit $$.

My hubby would NOT approve, he doesnt like the guy for good reason.

my friends say im crazy b/c he put me thru heck in the past. (chasing him down for support)

Others say i should use the money for my son (which i have bought a significant amount in education bonds)

Others say i should save in case he teams up with his family and i have to fight them for custody i may need the $$ for a lawyer.

I just think when ppl try to turn things around they should get something. Even if he his only doing what he SHOULD anwyay.

I feel dumb. I dunno what to do. I will feel dumber if i give him cash and he joins forces with the grandparents anyway. I think it may be healing? please advise.

  • How do I sue someone who has falsely called CPS on me multiple times?

I know who it is. All cases have been deemed INVALID complaints. The 1st time they didnt even come out to investigate. The 2nd time the Complaint mention bruises and they came 4 HOURS after the complaint was filed and inspected my child and my home and found nothing of course. The complaintant is the childs father. The complaints didnt start til he Lost custody and his visitation was decreased. I need to know if anyone knows what the name of the motion is and what I should sue for. I'm not really out any money, I havent had to defend myself or get a lawyer. CPS sees that the complaintant has motive. I'm just tired of the crap. And at what point do they say "hey stop calling us for lies"? in VA. Thanks for any help.

  • Too early to bring up marriage even tho he wants to move in?

We have been together 6 months, he has been talking about moving in together since 3 months. we are over 26 both have degrees/jobs...i love him, spend every second possible with each other (he basically lives with me now), i trust him completely vice versa. He's already getting rid of stuff that we each have because "we dont need two". My lease is not up for another 8 months, but i want to know that we are moving in with the intention of getting married when the time is right. Now my question is, since his lease is up sooner thant mine should I go ahead and let him know now, or wait until say , the year mark to bring this up. Is it too soon? I know nobody can really answer this but him but in general do you think i will be freaking him out by bringing up the "m" word at 6 months?

  • Why does my computer shut down after I hook it up to my flat screen?

I have a visio flat screen and a brand new e-machine computer. and an rgb cable thats specifically for hookin up computers to the tv. I hook the computer up to the tv so i can watch shows and movies straight from the computer. so why does the computer do an "unexpected shutdown" after I have been watching for a while (usually like 3-4 hrs. later)?

when i hook the regular monitor back up and restart the computer, everythings back to normal.

  • Replaced battery, iPod still says low battery, been charging for 6 hours?

I got a used ipod, best buy said it wouldnt come on because of dead battery. Replaced battery on my own (no warranty on an old ipod) plugged it in to charge now it says "please wait, very low battery". Understandable, but its been saying that for 6 hrs now. I mean if the battery wasnt connected correctly it wouldnt be able to come on at all right?

How long does a new ipod battery take to charge up for the 1st time?

I mean the apple website says after 30 minutes it should at least be 20% charged. no such luck on my end.

  • You should be getting married after a year of being serious?

Do you think that a couple that has been serious and exclusive (and cohabitating) for over a year (and is in their mid to late 20's-early 30's) should be thinking actively pursuing marriage or else one of them is not seriously intending to marry that person? is this the general experience? date> serious relationship 1-2 yrs.>marriage? was this your experience?

this was water cooler talk..just trying to figure out if that is the general consensus.
